Title: Tea baggers are just racists
Post by: Steyr M40A1 on April 19, 2009, 10:27:05 PM
...the good news is that it must explain why I'm also such a racist. Cheg it: Conservatism is the byproduct of a neurological disorder, and the real problem isn't that you disagree with Liberal politics, it's that you are a racist.

Janeane Garofalo declares Tea Party attendees racist on the Keith Olbermann show.

Now for the rebuttal. Here is 2003 and a blond Garoflao says its American to be a dissident.

I don't take in much from Hollywood Celebrities.  Their as full of shit as anyone.  Double talking; mislead agenda fighting; save the cows one day, and wear western boots in a film the next; and let's not forget about how politcally sponsored endorsements distort their views.  Most of these outspoken celebrities, are clueless to mainstream America anyways.  The ones who tend to have a clue, never say a word.  Go figure?

Dang....found that one....the wife had misplaced it.  Right next to the one I got from Michael Steele.

We've got to get rid of this two party allegiance thing, it's killing the nation.  Started out a Dem so I could vote in Louisiana, then I became Repub when the laws there changed to open election.....now neither one of them is worth kickin' in the head.

I don't know, the black, hispanic, and asian folks that were there didn't seem to feel to out of place.  I wouldn't take any thing that Garofalo says as anything but mentally unstable ranting.  She seems like the kind of man hating, socialist, liberal that would get her girlfriend artificially pregnant just to have an abortion.

This guys probably just one of those traitor blacks, I forget what they them.  Sad that some folks have got to bring every thing down to a race issue, they know they may not win, but they also know that they can't lose.  It's the safest form of slander.

For whatever reason, I surfed onto this interview LIVE on Olbermans show the other night.  I was literally SCREAMING at the TV, my wife thought I'd lost my mind until she saw what it was about.

Thankfully, about 13 people watch Olberman.  Gerafalo can't act, isn't funny and her politics are so far left that only the far, far, far whackjobs listen to her.  It's like Stuart Smalley up in MN...he and she are just hot air with a bunch of Hollywood wankers who occasionally get a microphone stuck in their face and have to make the DRAMATIC point!

F'em, not worth the effort it would take to pee on them if they were on fire....I would, because it's the right thing to do but I wouldn't like it... ;D

P.s...She basically said that anyone who didn't vote for Obama was a racist...

And that is was makes her an idiot and a hypocrite. Hell, I DID vote for Obama, or more specifically I voted against the the GOP clusterF@@#, that we endured the last 8 years, but race had nothing to do with it. I would have voted for the bloody Staypuff Marshmallow Man if necessary to send a message that borrow and spend porkbarreling, bad diplomacy, violating civil libeterties, wars of choice, not necessity etc. were not ok. None of this turned on race. I didn't attend a tea party but I'm glad they happened. Obama needs to learn that there arel imits and he is pushing them hard. Dissent is not only good but necessary, and dismissing it with a slur as being "racist", "unpatriotic", "anti-Christian" or what have you is an attempt to win by intimidation.
More importantly, to say that Obama should be imune to critique because of his race is racist itself. Its like saying "Go easy on the black guy, he can't handle it." BS. If Condi Rice had run and won do you think Garafolo would be calling her critics racist? Anyone? Anyone? This is just the worst form of BS intimidation out there.

1 ) But you STILL voted for the no experience Shmoo who said he would do exactly those things.
2) Just like "affirmative action"

On point one we'll disagree.
On point two we agree. I have no problem with race, like income, quality of your high school, region, parents being alumni etc. being one of many small plus factors to help be tie breakers to get into an undergrad program (and I've sat on an admissions committee). Beyond that, no. Not for grad school, not on the job. Once you've been given the chance, you stand or fall on your own. And now, the inequalites between rich school districts which can afford good math teachers and AP courses etc., are far more important than race anyway. Even Obama has said (truthfully) that his kids shouldn't get it. Some white kid in an underfunded district in West Virginia is in far more need. We need to be judged as individuals, but with circumstances taken into account, to get to that first rung on the ladder. After that it should all be merit. Garafolo doesn't get that. There s no AA for presidents. To say otherwise is racist in itself.

I don’t usually get into these arguments; they don’t need input from me generally.  I can’t believe that an educated fellow that you say you are would be so naïve to think that a protest vote FOR Obama would yield the type of change the nation was hoping for.  There were plenty of other things you could have done to protest the past administration besides casting a vote for one of the most left wing, big government, take no prisoners type of tax and spenders that the corrupt State House of Illinois could offer.  Hell, though I’ll take some grief for saying it, I would have preferred Hillary over Obama if things had gone the other way!

I didn’t care for the GOP candidate either but my issues focused on the safety of the country at large, terrorist attacks, strength of military and regardless of his leftist leanings, McCain was the only choice left.  I would have written in my dog Harley but M’Ette talked me out of it…  ;D

You repeatedly say you believe in the liberties granted in the Constitution but your PROTEST vote would suggest otherwise.  To give the Democrat party the green light by electing this man was a mistake, they own the three braches of government and there is not much we can do to stop them.  My definition of a libertarian is one that believes that the government has NO business in MY business and small government is better than the alternative.  I don’t concern myself with things that are none of my business and my life philosophy is that as long as it’s doesn’t hurt your fellow man, live and let live…leave me the hell alone.  By participating in electing this man you have made that philosophy nearly impossible to strive for as it will take generations to correct the damage he is capable of inflicting on this nation.

At this point I might prefer your dog, though NOT anyone named Clinton. I just thought (and think) that the GOP had 12 years and screwed the pooch. On balance, it seemed the Dems, operating under present constraints were the lesser of of two evils. Doubly so with McCain's repudiating 8/10s of what he stood for in 2000 to get the nod, plus the addition of Palin. In retrospect, perhaps not my wisest move, and a good object lesson in why we shouldn't let a throw the bums out mentality carry us away. I hope things go things well the next few years, but if not  I will stand corrected. But I will not back down from my belief that Boehner, McConnell and Mccain still do not seem like a good alternative.

PS As to why I didn't vote Libertarian, two words Bobb Barr, a man who couldn't spell the word before he found it was the only horse to ride. The ideas are good, the party is a joke.

We live, we learn, Tom. As I've said before, I cordially despise both parties, and in this election, while I found much to be admired in both candidates as people, I had very shakey confidence in both as president. Vote for the devil or the deep blue sea. In this case voting against what you know didn't work seemed better than voting for it. I make no claims to superior wisdom, just a few years of study. It doesn't help when you want to bang your head against the wall on voting day. I'm not not filled with confidence thus far, but, as I said, I'll give the man until November of 2010. Then I vote GOP unless things have progressed.

When faced with the choice of voting for the lesser two evils, I don't vote for evil.
Two parties, one purpose.

If you are a liberal when you are old, you don't have a brain

I know Ron Paul, though I doubt he would remember me. My church in Austin did some outreach in neighboring Bastrop, his district and he came and spoke and just attended some bible study and services. Nice articulate guy, but a little nuts. I'd love to go fishing with him, but nuclear weapons, no chance in hell. (The same could be said of most of us too.)

At the risk of sounding tin foil hattish, none of this matters - Garafalo or Olbermann or whoever. They are the lapdogs of the people in power and will help sway the opinions of the sheeple.

This is a fixed race, my friends, and the situation is getting worse (hotter int he frog metaphor). Every day - with bho giving away intelligence secrets to schmoozing with petty tyrants to trying to socialize yet another industry - the fix is in, we are going socialist, and all the teabags in this country will not stop it.

So how hot does the water have to become before the Americans react?

If you look left then right and don't see your neighbors doing the same, then its not time.

Throughout history, populations do not rise, it is usually a subset - a niche - that actually acts or reacts.

The French Revolution was an anomaly, based on huge class differences, failures in the command structure of the French Army, mass starvation and climatological stress (global cooling).  In the US Revolutionary War, it was a small percentage of Colonial residents who actually participated in any Revolutionary War combat.

You cannot walk out your front door and expect your neighbor to be in arms, you should not expect it. If you are looking for civil insurrection, you will be waiting a long long time - the sheeple will look to their own interests first and probably only.

It is only the sheepdogs who will act decisively - as it has always been.
