I'll watch this after work (shhhhh!)
I saw Rendell yesterday on another news show where he wasn't really challenged in any meaningful way. His arguments are emotional only. But then, I have already stated that he should stick to talking about the Eagles pass defense on the Michael Barkan show. He makes more sense when he talks football.

Since I have:

A)  Never used a gun in the commission of a crime
B)  Never been judged mentally unfit
C)  Never made a "straw purchase" of guns to resell to criminals
D)  Have no intention of doing any of the above

why, then, is it any of Governor Rendell's, or anybody else's, business what type of weapon I own, or how many I purchase in any given time period?

Another example of passing laws designed to punish millions of people who had nothing to do with committing a crime!!

This stuff REALLY pisses me off!!

The arguments by LaPierre are calm, level headed, and textbook NRA.

The Nice way to have a gun debate.  What about the 60 Dems. that signed "the letter" to BHO.

I appreciate everything LaPierre does. But sometimes whenever spots like this are aired, the NRA sounds like (IMHO only), like a pro 2nd Amendment bureaucrat.

At least slightly better than the mindless individual bureaucrats, like Rendell, I guess I'm not familiar with "That Level" of how the political machine works, I may just have it wrong.

Rendell, Feinstien, Schumer, Pelosi, and others,  need to know that the time they choose to bring this back up, AWB, microstamping, imported ammo, whatever;

That THIS TIME, a "sleeping giant" will awaken, and it will be a political fight to the finish. When it comes, we need to smack the anti's back big time. So they don't try this crap again, at least during my lifetime...

Just my lowly .02 cents...

I thought LaPierre did a nice job....I know LaPierre was constrained by time and venue, but we need to see more of the "in your face" stuff from the NRA. Now is not the time to be nice to these people.....It's time to get serious and kick some ass in these debates.....

What do I mean by that?
We should have the stats, but more importantly go for the ultimate aim of these people. Also, I would use their logic on the 1A and watch the pundits heads spin and spit pea soup......And I would aim for the audience and tell them that the Brady Campaign and their ilk don't care if you live or die in a confrontation with a criminal, they just don't want you to have a fighting chance......

My question to Rendell is what other guarantees under the Bill of Rights is he willing to give up? I would suggest the first amendment for him.
