Title: My son got his hog!!

My son and I went hog hunting yesterday. We were shooting from stands about 25 yards on a down angle as the stands wre about 12 feet tall.

A big old porker came out and started grubbing around and my son lined up with his S&W 629 6 inch 44 mag and fired one off (Winchester Super - X 240 grain round nose soft point).


The hog just stood there!  So he thumbs the hammer and lines up for another and the damn thing just fell over!

One shot, One kill!

205 lb russian!  It is the black one.

Wow! Congrats to the son. 25 yard shot. I guess I won't post about my recent raccoon kill now.  :D

Now THAT is quite a kill.
Bet he was as proud as all get out.
Bless his heart! There will be meat in the freezer and he can proudly say he put it there.  :)
 
Isn't it just the greatest thing to see your kids do these kinds of things? There's just nothing quite like it!

That's really great!!  Most younger guys (young adults) squirm when they aim at their first big kill...your son obviously didn't.  Congrats on being a good teacher.  Enjoy the meat!!

It's VERY tasty.  So far we have smoked one ham and  made cuban pulled pork.  Excellent!
