Because of the coverage presented by Shooting Gallery of the machine gun shoot, I just returned from 3 days of the best shooting fun I have ever had. On Saturday, at 12:15pm, I met Michael Bane just before he entered the range. I had a chance to let him know just how much I liked the show and websites and also let him I supported his advertisers. On Sunday, I met John Ross. He had both models of his new S&W 500 magnum on the table. He offered to let me shoot it. I handed him my DL and he handed me a revolver and 10 rounds of ammo. I went down to the lower range where I got everybodys attention when I started shooting this hand cannon. The gun was sweet shooting. I had no trouble with the recoil. This special edition model designed by John through the custom shop sure handles a lot better that any of the standard factory guns I have handled. If you are a BIG BORE fan and have been considering a 500 magnum, this is the way to go.
