You can vote for up to eight times on this poll! I did this to allow multi-discipline shooters to fully express themselves.
Every once in a while we have this discussion, but with the rapid growth of members on DRTV I thought it would be a good time to share again.
What do you do with your guns? I purposely left out carry, because we discuss that in depth on other threads, and fondle is also not here, because we have all be exposed as "perverts" ;) If this goes well we will open one up for leather and lace with M'ette explaining the proper use of the whip ;D

trap
skeet
sporting clays
hunt
some USPSA, maybe 1 match a year these days.
I collect odd balls and earily american shot guns( of which I always shoot them if its safe to do so)
I've not plinked in years. never really enjoyed it. Much rather play clay games.

Hunt and plink
-
I hunt year around switching between traditional archery gear and firearms as the whim and season moves me.
Plinking? I guess I do...mostly stump shooting with my bow or 10-.22.
Target shooting at the local range is a new one for me. I get to try out rental guns and decided what to put on my wish list.
-
I shoot em and clean em and carress them and love them.
-
Hunt, plink, collect and, since I don't have time for the first two so much...I do other. Which is "gawk" at them. The new LCR and the used CZ 75 P-01 are on my desktop to "gawk" at whilst passing the desk during the day. I plan on "gawking" at them a little bit more then replace them with a Browning Buckmark/TacSolutionsbarrel/AACPilot to "gawk" at and maybe an HK USP Tac in 45 (about time it showed up for the wife to see) to share the "gawking" with.
Gawk, gawk, gawk, gawk, gawk...I'll probably throw some c-l-i-p-s for the Buckmark alongside to "gawk" at them knowing I just raised Haz's blood pressure. ;D
Gawk, gawk, gawk, gawk, gawk...at the c-l-i-p-s.

I collect, hunt, shoot trap, and plink. With the exception of shooting trap, my time at the range was spent "punching paper". When the price of ammo started going up, I began shooting a lot of .22, which I hadn't done in a while because it just didn't give me the warm fuzzies like the big calibers. I must say, however, after investing in a few spinners and resetting targets, this is how I prefer to spend my range time.

Plink, Collect, and SD(other)., I also can assassinate watermelon, old desktop computers, and water jugs with relentless consistency. ::)
Also, leave them to my son and his future family.
I want them to know grampa, great-grampa, believed in the 2nd Amendment, loved his country, and had some bad ass firearms.
High Capacity, "tweaked", custom, accurate as all get out, and there if and when you might them...
Just like my grandfather's Mauser, it's best "in the family" ;)
-
Hunt and some trap, lots of plinking ;D
-
I admit it...I'm a plinker...
-
I carry some of them, plink with some of them, lovingly caress others and thin the deer herd with one or two of my smokepoles.
-
PLINK!!!!
of course I do want to go hunting but have not yet had the opportunity. I'm looking into what's available around here, but not many people interested in hunting. also started collecting, have my grandfather's old 12 guage winchester and a couple of C&R guns.
-
Plinker, collector, gawker, drooler.

I'm a shooter, so I shoot them, some do not get shot as much as others, but sometimes I look in the safe, and say " Hi old girl, lets go on a date " I shot competition for a long time, and many different disciplines, Bullseye, U S Service rifle, NRA action shooting, steel plates, USPSA, Hunters pistol silhouette, precision air pistol, PPC, local tactical pistol, and shotgun, I've done 3 gun, and love it. Of course self defense is where it all started, so I have many carry pistols, from .22 mini revolvers, to .32 small auto's to small .45's both pistol and revolver. 24/7 is a 9mm revolver. I do like to plink, but like to stretch things when I do, it does not matter what I'm shooting, lets see what it will do, like having a 76 Pinto, I got it, lets see how it handles and how fast she will go, or a Corvette, same thing, lets stretch the legs and see what happens. That is a lot of fun and informative, like an SKS at 500 meters, not a target gun, but more usable than you might think, and in the reverse, don't DIS one being used against you thinking your out of range.
Of course right now. the .22rf is King.

Guns!
What guns?!
Ever since that tragic boating accident, all my guns are at the bottom of the Mississippi. ;)
Nah... seriously, though, I do shoot USPSA and steel and once every other blue moon IDPA.
I think my first person vids are linked below in my signature line.
I think.
I wear a hat with a camera attached to its bill.
I am in Illinois, so CCW'ing is out. :'(
Just think how many more guns could be sold if Illinois and Wisconsin got on board???

I like to shoot. It doesn't matter to much what kind of shooting it is, I just like to shoot. Never seem to have the time for it much for a few years now. Have never shot any organized competions, but have shot some informal semi organized shoots. Got a basic Daisy when I was about 8 or 10 when we visited my Grandfolks on the farm in Kansas. Went through a pack of 2000 BBs in 2 days. Shot a handgun, a .38 revolver, the first time when I was five, and Grandpa's .22 rifle a few years later. Never shot a shotgun until I was 18. Used to shoot a rifle fairly well with open sights when younger. I think my eyes switched somewhere along the line. I'm right handed and left eye dominate and can shoot a handgun fairly well shooting right handed, left eye. I'm either hot or cold with a shotgun. Always use to do OK. Went duck hunting with some friends and never had as many shots ever as I did that day. Ran out of shells and got more and never hit a thing that day. Went out a couple weeks later for clay pigeons and couldn't hit a thing. A couple months later shooting clay pigions with the same friends and I couldn't miss. It's been hot or cold like that ever since with a shotgun. I do go deer hunting every fall and shoot a scoped rifle well enough.
I shoot a few of my guns when I can, collect a few. Store a few and trade or sell a few now and then, but still have my first handgun, shotgun, and rifle, Gradpa's .22. I enjoy reading and studying firearms and their history just as much and have a small collection of gun and shooting books.

That happened to you to? Mine are in the Rio Grande. I am in trouble if illegal aliens find them. They may be nice enough to return them to my house. I know they wouldn't take them to Mexico for the drug cartels to use. I don't want to be 91%.
Wait, now I remember. They didn't go down in the Rio... Mine are all in the Gulf of Mexico about 60 miles off shore. Don't know what I was thinking taking them with me way out there but I was worried about pirates.
