So this is what I have going on so far.
Spikes Tactical stripped lower.
I am really happy with this lower. It's solid, no marks or blemishes. The spider logo is awesome, and even though you could beat the Fire/Safe color fill with Bullet markings that are colored filled, I'll still take this.
Pachmayr Vindicator Grip
I love this grip! It's extremely comfy, with just a wee bit of squishy. And it feels solid. Goes on in two pieces as you can see.
Mag-Level Pmags
Gotta have pmags. I'll have a FDE CTR stock, and FDE ladder covers to match eventually. And I really wanted some grip tape on those bad boys.
PWS FSC556
Despite all of the choices for brakes and flash hiders, I had to have the FSC556. It demands attention, and it's effective. It'll be a pleasure to shoot.

Looks like it is going to be a nice build. What are you doing for an upper?
I'm building one also. Got a S&W lower with a Rock River Arms lower parts kit. Standard grip because I haven't decided on a different one. I have either a RRA 6 position telestock or a Command arms telestock to choose from. Been thinking maybe of getting a Magpul CTR or MOE stock instead. I have a Tactical Solutions M4 style dedicated .22 upper I can put on it. Building a .223 upper for it if the barrel ever comes in. I have several on backorder. Have a Bushmaster BCG that I got lucky and found at a reasonable price. Have a no name upper receiver forged by Cardinal, but I don't know who cut it. Would like to find a different stripped upper. For now I'm just going with standard upper firniture. If the barrel ever comes in it's ready to assemble. I never had much interest in these untill last fall although I have had a Rock River for a few years. Now I have a couple, but this is my first build. Have also picked up a few tools and how to books. Keep us posted on your build.

Nice lower. I have the Pachmayr grip on one of my ARs and like it a lot better than the standard grip. It had a seam running right down the middle of the finger grooves that I used a rat-tail file to smooth out. It's VERY comfortable. I have an Ergo grip on my other AR and I like it too. Both grips give you a longer LOP which is nice for big hands like mine.

Looks like a neat setup. Just out of curiosity, is there any disadvantage to building with a different upper and lower receiver rather than going with both from the same factory in terms of fit? I know they're supposed to be interchangeable, but I was wondering if the factory fit might be better or worse?

Ironhawk, what are you going to fill the stripped lower with? A std factory parts kit or a competition trigger system?

I bought a Del-Ton 16" Mid-Length Rifle Kit with Chrome line barrel, specter low-profile gas block, free float quad rail, FDE CTR Stock, T-marked Flat top and just standard trigger guts.
Every manufacturer is little different with their fit and finish. There shouldn't be a problem with compatibility so long as both the lower and upper receivers are mil-spec. I just chose to go this route because I could get the majority of the options/accessories that I wanted all at one time, as opposed to buying a rifle and then buying the parts I wanted. That way tends to get a bit $$ after a bit. So I fronted the some extra, initial, cash and I'll save money in the long run.
