Due to the success of the 22 RTF that was released earlier this year, Glock is now producing the same rough textured frame and new style slide for the 17. We are now taking pre-orders for the Glock 17 RTF (rough textured frame gun). The limited amount of our first allocation will go at the reduced price of $479.00 for all pre-orders.

I noticed yesterday that Gallery of Guns had added these. I've couldn't justify the 22RTF, since I have a 22, but I've been wrestling with the idea of getting a 17.

Glock up, bitch! ;D

... In all seriousness, there is no need for you to ever buy another Glock...... now that you own the most perfect one ever created! (Am I right, Mr. Bane?!?!?) My only suggestion would be to invest in one or two 17 rd mags and as many 33 rd mags as you can find. ;)

Since you own and like the 26, do you use the mag/finger extensions? My dealer was out and I am torn. On the one had it will let me get my whole hand on the grip, on the other, it is something to hang up in a pocket. I own a 19 and can just use one of its mags, but that provides extra lenghth in the grip. Any thoughts before I drop $30?

I go without the extension. I carry IWB and the extended mag makes the gun print more..... and honestly I have never felt the need for it. 26 shoots just fine for me as is. I actually prefer the subcompact to the full size model....... The whole grip angle thing seems less pronounced to me with the sub.

My current game plan is to trade my Glock 17 in and get the rough frame Glock 22. I wish that I never got rid of my first Glock 22. Love the .40 Smith and Wesson round. Forgot how much I loved it till I bought the Glock 24 a couple of weeks ago. Now to get a Glock 35 also!!!  8)

HAZ you got to stop messing with the tupperware crew. Combat plastic is reliable, accurate, and works where others would fail.

Don't most of want to have at least one of everything? Even the ugly guns, like Hi Points and Calico M-100's.

Eric, I offered him a 17 for $250. Unless you're going to just give him one its hopeless. Although......his kid will be 16 next year and can own one. Maybe we can corrupt mini-Haz young?

I did pick up the Glock 22 RTF today. Shot it, hit several bulleyes and performed perfectly as to be expected. Carried it in a Uncle Mikes IWB for four hours. The grip rubbed my love handle raw!!!  :( If I plan to carry this anymore I will use my Blackhawk Serpa Holsters. Fired the Glock 24 today. It shot perfectly and my 12 year old son was shooting better groups than his old man. Really proud of him.
About the RTF grip, I would rather have the 4th Gen Glock 22 so I could conceal it.
