ok
after a 6 month wait after getting my Hand Gun Licence and then another 28days waiting for the PTA
I was able to pick it up on Saturday

got my self a Taurus PT99 it also came with a PT92 Slide so I also have fixed sights ( that is black) also have a 2nd mag for it
the cool thing is it is the one I did most of my training with so I have used it a bit all ready

Y'all desperately need an NRA (warts and all) or something like it. I don't know if you have the time or inclination, but I'm betting a letter to the boys in DC would get a response. Maybe organize meetings at some local gun/hunting clubs and I'm sure they'd be fighting each other to see which organizer got he free trip to OZ to helpset up an organization.
FQ13 nice pistol BTW, (next year, go Glock ;D)

Even for SD a nice SxS will do the job. (and I like SxS myself)

BTW who all sells reasonably priced coach guns? I know Stoeger does (I prefer hammerless, BUT I could be convinved to hammers).

They are cool guns. I want one with exposed hammers.
I have a cheap (pawn shop for $100) hammerless, double trigger, SxS FIE 12ga that needs a face-lift (which is why I bought it, to practice on). It locks up really snug, but the external condition is rough. It's a kicker when you drop both barrels at once.

yea they would be nice , I am not allowed to have one due to them being restricted :(
want to put an old SxS hammer style in the safe though :) for vintage matches we have over here One day

There are other countries, China, Turkey, included that make side by side exposed hammer coach's shotguns.

It is not rocket science to make the mechanism work. Been around a loooooong time.
Even with lighter loads, makes a great addition. Bartenders have used them for decades......
Don;t really have to aim, just point "that general direction", and it will work...

Happy Birthday Phil. Great handgun there. Wish my wife had the 99 instead of the 92 AFS. Awesome buy. Man, you have to jump through some serious hoops there to get a handgun. Crazy!!! I'll drink a pint in your honor tonight. ;D

Providing I buy in my home state of Vermont, I just have to wait through the five minute phone call / background check. I always fill that void by perusing for accessories. ::)
