Curious, where in South Texas are ya? I'm sure you won't be here long but just wondering.

Saint Mother Maria watch over us please
As we wonder around in this dangerous world
Thank Mother Maria there's nothing so sweet
As the undying love of a South Texas girl

Damn, I'd forgotten that one. If you don't post it on the "songs for troubled times" thread I'm  kicking your ass.  ;D
FQ13 who is reminding you not to be a tease when it comes to Tx. Hill Country folk music.
PS You get a repreive Gringo. I posted Lyle's version along with Guy singing the Dublin Blues ( a classic Tx.tune), but seriously man, don't tease like that. And I still want the man himself singing it. >:(

College Station

I see, didn't realize you were back up there at the disaster training facility. About 3 hours drive from here. Hoping you were closer my way. Would've liked to buy you guys a beer or 10.

Have fun... don't get distracted will all those college hotties running around up there. That can be a BIG disaster! (or a shitton of fun) ;)

Been reading a biography of Townes Van Zandt (A Deeper Blue).  Lot of mention of Guy and Susan Clark.

Townes' story is sad because of his affliction but he certainly left a mark on this world that many will treasure.

I always thought they measured distance in Texas and some other Western states in six packs it took to get there?

Now I'll have to be watching those dates for the next time MB is in College Station. Going to end up being a 24 case trip but I'll survive... ;D
