SWORDLESS SAILORS
Graduating midshipmen of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis are being told in writing to leave at home or in their vehicles all "ceremonial swords" and anything else "that might be considered a weapon or a threat by screeners" for Friday's outdoor commencement ceremonies featuring an address by President Barack Obama.
Inside the Beltway has obtained the academy's list of prohibited items for this year's graduation exercises, which, besides ceremonial swords, includes umbrellas.
Yes, cell phones and texting are still allowed.
Terrible >:(

All I can visualize is the hippies and flower children of the 60's >:(
Are we next going to replace a gun salute with a clap fest or stomp exercise ???

I don't know why anyone is surprised. They (the administration) consider Vets, a potential terroist threat. They might think that one of those new Naval or Marine Corp Officers, might take their oath to the Constitution seriously, and react against a domestic threat.

No, the new salute will be a simple extension of your right arm, with the hand held at a slightly higher level than the shoulder. Much like the picture below.

Because the great and glorious BOz was going to speak and since he has been publicizing his policies he does not want any one near him with both a sense of honor and ANYTHING sharp or pointed.

True enough, liked your comments - mostly because we think alike! ;D
Clicking on these links, though is both dangerous (an innocuous site loading crap in the background onto your computer) and supports the trolls who do this, as they receive information that shows that where the links came from, meaning a site full of suckers for clicking, which simply encourages them to continue with the activities.
Besides, it skews our 5000 member stats when the same person signs up under different names to advertise their wares.

This is truly a sad commentary to a very sad, but dangerous, administration. I feel sorry for those men, who earned the right to graduate in full dress, to be 'accused' of possibly using it in an illegal way. What is wrong with this man and the idiots that surround him? Will no one tell him the truth of his own grandiose, self-serving ego? Has no one said, "I'm sorry, but this graduation is not about YOU...it's about these mena dn their accomplishments." Now the whole ceremony is 'tainted' by this and their day of honor will be forever remembered, not as 'their day of high achievement', but as another Obama lunacy and ego-filled day. The same thing with EVERY graduation he has spoken at. It has become some media circus, with his wild and arrogant insistence of something wrong. Requiring that a Christian symbol be covered at Georgetown University? Really? What threat is that? But it made the news. A Pro-abortion president speaking at a Catholic college graduation (Notre Dame)...not about the students working their asses off for four years and achieving the honor to graduate from such a prestigious college...again, about Obama. To me, this is all an incredible ego trip. It always has to be 'all about him'. He can't seem to be out of the spotlight, even when it means that deserving adults will be foreshadowed by his selfish and ignorant demands. Shame, shame on us for allowing it to go on. Stop inviting him to speak at these ceremonies. Apparently, he has no on near him that will dare to dim his spotlight. Just sad.
