Well, another day for the Proud Pops.... ;D
My little girl wants to go shoot with me this afternoon. She's gonna go with me to another pin shoot and test out the P228 she picked up last fall. I'm not gonna pass up the chance to spend some time with her.
Should be fun...maybe I can sling some rounds through my Ruger too. I'd forgotten how many handguns I now have in the basement... Sig P225 (P6), Sig P228, Sig P229, Para 1911 and my Ruger.....(not all mine :'()

Go for it Timothy. Spend all the time you can with children and grand children. It's how we pass on our values to them.

Hope you have a great day with your daughter.

Looks like you have a rain storm passing through around 3 pm then clear skies. Hope it doesn't mess you up.

Home again....that was a great way to spend four hours on a beautiful day. :D
No Tom, not a drop of rain until a sprinkle on the way home, an absolutely lovely afternoon.
Managed to shoot into the finals in one match but alas, couldn't get the six pins with six rounds and fumbled the reload, DRAT.....I would have won the grand prize of NOTHING! The future SIL won one and lost another final, the kid can shoot, I'll give him that much.
I DID get to shoot against my little girl three times, used that little Ruger .357 twice against her and my 1911 the last time. She's getting better on her follow ups and mag changes but she doesn't like the sight on the P228 so we might change it. I'm going to start doing some dry fire drills and trigger control drills with her, she really needs the work there but otherwise did real well.
Now, the bad news.......I'm looking at five dirty handguns that need cleaning.....I don't know how that keeps happening but it's the price you pay when your 24 year old "light of your life" decides she don't mind spending time with the big guy that sleeps with her mother.... ;D ;D ;D

Hey thats awesome Tim.
Tho I am still young and my parents are relatively young, I feel like I missed alot of time I should have been spending with my Dad. I respect him and love him more than anyone in this world, but between him working 16-18 hours a day when I was kid to the time I spent 3000 miles and then some away from home for a few years, I missed some valuable time. With all his work and life that wasnt doing him any favors growing up he made every baseball, Soccer, Basketball game I ever had. And any free time on the weekends was spent in batting cages or with a glove on throwing a ball to me.
It is now awesome to be 27 and be able to spend every Tuesday with him for our movie night.
I am lucky as is your daughter to get to spend time with our Dads.

Here are some photos of my boys at the range firing a Glock 17. Always a pleasure to teach the next generation of shooters.

My sense of decency and honor prohibit me from posting my first thought. That doesn't happen very often. ;)
You are welcome 8)
