Title: S&W M&P 15 in .22lr
Post by: dj454 on May 31, 2009, 12:14:33 PM
I saw a glimpse of this on Shooting USA at the shot show. It has a polymer lower and possibly upper. It is a dedicated .22 lr. The MSRP is $499. I can't find it on S&W's website but it is coming. I am excited to check one of these out it is supposed to have a match grade barrel and is dementionally the same as a M&P 15. This should sell like hotcakes. I would love an AR15 in 5.56 but with ammo and reloading component prices I will be happy with a .22. It will be a good training tool for when I can afford the real thing. And besides that .22 are just plain fun.

It was so new that they wouldn't let anyone touch it so I doubt you will see one for a while.  I didn't hear a price but $499 seems a bit cheap.

PS:  Just re-played the tape from last Wed.  They didn't mention price.  If it is $499 I might be able to afford one where I can't a full blown AR which I have no where to shoot!

I have one of the Tactical Solutions .22 uppers.  They have three models to choose from.  I have this one and it is nice.  I have heard they are hard to get right now.  I got mine about the time of the election for about $525.

I got the price off the S&W forum. The guy that posted about it there said they were at the NRA show and he got to handle one.
