Man walks into museum in DC and shoots a guard with a long gun. But I thought all those DC regs would protect us from that? You mean that the only way to stop his spree was to shoot back, as the armed guards did? Novel idea. Since the regs did not stop him and bullets did, maybe it should be legal for all good citizens to carry a gun at all times in all places?

I agree. But that is why I do not go to D.C. due to the inability to carry my firearm.

It took a second to provide my sarcastic commentary.

Sarcasm is turned to ON...
Clearly, there are not enough anti-gun laws. Otherwise this would have never happened.

Exactly! So which political bonehead will be the first to use this to promote more laws?

This guy must be pretty covert to get a long gun inside. The one time I have been to this museum they had a guard stationed outside of the only public entrance.

The old fart was 89 years old. Maybe it was disguised as a cane or something. Or, maybe the place was being guarded by the TSA today. ;D

I'll buy that. I am sure TSA could bend their handgun allowance policy to include long guns for the long of tooth. ;)

I think you win the "that-a-boy," as it seems Paul Hemke of the Brady bunch spoke up first.

I bet he wouldn't have done it if they outlawed murder. Wait...never mind.
