North Korea is like Saddams Iraq. It has a voting constituency of one. Unless or until some general grabs his sack and puts a bullet between Kim Jong Ill's ears, the situation will remain FUBAR. Just my $.02.

When I started working for Teco ocean shipping a few years back my ship had just returned from a trip to N. Korea to drop off food aid. that was the last trip the US sent food to the wacky SOB. they unloaded the grain onto the dock and then loaded it onto another (foreign) ship on the other side of the dock to sell to another contry. now if that ain't a shootin' offense (your people starving and you sell the fodd intended for them to another country) I don't know what is. like it was said before, probably syphilis eating away at his brain, but then again he started out wacky, maybe he's just crazy.

N. Korea, hasn't changed since the end of the Korean "Conflict". Except NOW they have nukes..
The U.N. and American Impotence, and previous admin. that wanted to "talk to them", where the end result was N. Korea saying "F" you to the world STILL goes unanswered.
We have the tech. to intercept a launch, but will we send a message that they will only understand?
Uh,... No....BHO want s to reach out to them...
And the U.N.? Well, they get really angry, than they all get together on our dime in NY, and compose a letter telling N. Korea how angry they are...We sent Hans Blix and Madeline Albright didn't we?

The seeds for this whole fiasco were sown over 50 years ago when President Truman relieved General MacArthur of command. If MacArthur was allowed to do his job, there would not be two Koreas, but one.

forgot to mention, when the ship was in port the crew was not allowed to leave the port and could only go to the seaman's center in the port with armed escorts... because we're still at war! what? yup. nobody ever 'won' or 'lost' the conflict. they believe we're still at war with them. duhhhh!

Yes, The Korean war was never ended, they only got as far as a cease fire agreement. Those food shipments that BJ sent were acts of treason, giving aid and comfort to the ENEMY.

I don't know. After Monica, Bill's "help" during the election, and losing the primary to a green kid, I think the woman has probably got some serious anger management issues. I wouldn't want to piss her off.
