Something about my .45, just always will make me "tingle"....
God Bless America, and the .45

Plain, practical, and powerful. No fancy sights, porting, rails or grips. Just simple, understated power.

Old Betsy, see above, 1970 Colt eats plastic for lunch. Crunches on 9mm for snacks and patiently patronizes the double stack crowd when the bovine excrement hits the ventilator.

"My .45 will never shrink"......and this one weighs LESS than full size tupperware!
-
That one looks nice Timothy. Tell us about it.
FQ13 Who actually likes .45s, but just prefers a DAO semi without a safety (or a snubby revolver) for SD. Point, aim and click, nothing to get hung up on. This means one less potential fail point in an Oh Crap situation.

FQ13 Who actually likes .45s,
Para Ordnance LTC Alloy in .45 ACP...match grade stainless barrel w/integral feed ramp, competition trigger, skeletonized combat hammer and beavertail, PXT oversize extractor and aluminum alloy receiver, 8 + 1 capacity, 28 oz empty...other than the Wilson Combat slimline grip panels, it's stock for about $700.00...I've changed the slide stop and thumb safety back to standard parts because the "Tacticoool" extended ones just get in the way.
I have about 2000 rounds through it without a burp......chucks brass a country mile! ;D ;D

My contribution to 1911 gun porn.

Nice gun DMarine, what vintage Colt?
-
All those awesome 1911s. It's not good to get drool all over my keyboard.
-
It's a 1970's Government Model. The slide was worked on by Hogue in Los Angeles and frame by King Gun Works in LA. Frame was reblued in 90's. Has S&W revolver rear sights which were the best combat sights at that time. National Match barrel and bushing with full-length guide rod. Pachmyr grips. Slide was hard chromed by Hogue, if I remember right. Paid $125 and a Kawasaki 125 cc street/dirt bike for it. I got the better end of the deal.
-
"I got the better end of the deal."
I would be forced to agree! ;D

PORN PORN PORN shame on you guys. ;D

Funny how easy it is to start a porn thread,....
Next time, we can have a "tupperware" porn thread... ;)

Beautiful 1911's. Love the .45 ACP round. The 50 GI is a hard round to find unless you reload.

2How, is yours an RIA as well ? Mines the Govt Model.
Tim, Riley's in Hooksett had 3 different models of them so they are still available, they wanted under $500

They are made by ARMSCOR out of the Phillipines. Its all redone with Ed Brown parts and Dura coat. only thing original is frame and slide. thanks
