I've talked a bit about my first handgun. My old Ruger Security-Six with American elk grips.
Here she is.

The first center-fire handgun that I ever fired was a Security-Six that belonged to a friend. It was his first center-fire purchase.
I think he still has it, too.
Very fine gun, Kid.

Nice Security Six Kid. My first was a 4 inch barreled stainless Security Six. Still have her and her name is Maggie. You never forget your first
girl gun. ;D

Thanks Peg. Better pic is up. I still don't have the hang of posting 200kb pics on the forums.

Lookin' good, Kid.
"Wheel gunz iz real gunz"

Kid, love the look of the elk grips.
As a Security-Six fan and a life long elk hunter, I like the combo ;D

Thanks,
I'm also a fan of both. For my taste, elk is the best game meat on the planet or at least the best I've had so far.
By the way, how are things in Greeley? The elk comment made me check out your location. I used to live in Rifle.

How about a pic of Maggie? I'd like a look at your first girl gun.

Greeley is known for as anyone who has passed through, will say it smells.. :o With the feedlots and the two packing houses "beef and lamb" it... well is smelly :-\
I've hunted mulies in the Rifle area. Did ya like it there?

We loved it and will be going back to somewhere in Colorado. We came back to Texas because my Mom is getting up in years and we wanted to be nearer to her and to my wife's family.

I'll try, but it'll be awhile, I'm working a lot the next few weeks.
