Title: Homemade Pepper Popper's - Anybody?
Post by: Funseeker on June 17, 2009, 04:17:52 PM
I heard Mr. Pincus refer to a homemade pepper popper's on the "Gun Nut's" Blog-cast.  I sent an e-mail to ICE but, as yet, no response.  So has anybody here seen/used/built one?  I remember a big rig mud flap was somehow involved, but that's it.  So any help will be appreciated!

It's for use by me, and a few of my friends, in our quarterly get together, not for any meaningful "competition" preparation.  It just seems that it will be more fun than punching paper alone.

Thanks, in advance, from a DRtv forum neewbe 8)

We looked at poppers from many manufacturers.  We then tried shooting several homemade steel plates, and we looked at several different types of steel.  We ended up purchasing a couple pre-made complete poppers, and some replacement plates.  We then built our own bases to go with them.  We saved quite abit by doing it this way, and we still have a good quality and well shaped popper.
