The manufacturer's site says that it is legal in all 50 states.
It looks like fun but also a little crazy.
I think I'll just be safe and continue to sight in on paper targets.

Its his natural response to anything that looks fun, 'it must be illegal.'  He's been trained by Big Bro to think that way. ;D  Looks fun, get it while its still legal.

Nothing says 'zero' like a pants crapping explosion. ;D

I wonder what would happen if I coated a couple of m58's steel targets with that stuff?    ;D

its not the product, its how its used.  gas = perfectly legal... now go make a molotov cocktail... still legal?

After watching that video and the time it takes to mix the shit I figure you'd get a good shot off every 45 minutes or so.

Yes. The gas is still 100% legal to buy and posses.... your behavior is felonious.

Actually this product is 100% legal  based on the product and also that it has to be exploded on private property.

Discovery channel did a special on this a while back (They were exploding them in California, BTW). They are 100% legal in every state because they are so safe (require a .223 or greater to explode), and because so many Farmers were saying they needed them for use on their property (stump removal and stuff). The way they talked about it on the show, if you get the formula, then they are very easy to make yourself.... and 100% legal as long as you are on private property.

I may need to rethink this. If they have enough bang to take out a stump, then they would be worth the price. Having the formula would be even better. Anybody found that yet? If so, when are you posting it?

Size of the charge......... The ones sold on the site are just for the purpose of making a loud bang when you hit it.

I wish I could find the vid online of the Discovery Channel show about this.... it was on Wreckreation Nation...... You guys would be ordering cases of this stuff...... it was awesome to watch! It looked like so much fun. I dont know if I could afford to do it often (just shooting has gotten costly enough), but it would be one hell of a fun experience because it combines two of my favorite things -- blowing stuff up and guns. How much fun would it be to blow stuff up by shooting it with a gun?!? Damn!

They documented a group of friends who did this like once a month. It was cool too because there was really only one or two true "Shooters" in the group... the rest were there just because they were nerds and fell in love with doing the pyro..... but they all got into shooting because of this (and they each owned at least one AR)..... You could just tell most of them were libs who had never been around guns until one of their friends told them about this.... one girl even had an accidental discharge while they were filming -- booger picker on the trigger.

But anyway, it was awesome... they blew up a car, a fridge, a washing machine..... they even strapped some to clay pigeons and shot an explosive round of skeet.
