Hey,
I had to go back to MI to pick up a new vehicle for the wife and get the rest of our stuff (vehicle prices are very high here in Big Sky country). Did it but burned up a pile of the Insurance money we got for the damage to our old house. I should mention that I got what was left of my weapons (and a couple others) that my family held for me when I moved so I am adequately armed again, though I plan to increase the stockpile as money permits.
I'm back here in Western Montana now and I have a job, at the same place the wife is working, Lincoln's 50,000 Silver Dollar Bar (Casino/Restaurant/Gift Shop/Motel/Gas Station and everything else) in lovely Haugan, MT. Wifey works at the Restraint and gift shop and I work at the gas station/convenience store (casino/bar). It is the second exit off I-90 (east) in MT and an interesting place, I hope you guys will stop by if you are in the area.

While I am making just over half what I made back in Detroit I and taking home about 4/5ths of what I made there (gotta love the low tax thing) and me and wife together are taking home more a month than we have in almost 10 years. We plan to bank as much as we can and hope to be able to pick up a piece of land in the not to distant future (as long as we don't run into anything unfortunate along the way).
I hope everyone else is doing OK.

Glad you made it out of that liberal paradise

Ain't living in the West great? I escaped from the people's republik of illinois myself. Glad you're getting settled in and congrats on the steady income. Prep now, be an ant not a grasshopper.

Warhawke, Glad to hear things are going better for you. Sure hope you can get your little piece of paradise. Like they use to say in the early 80's,"last one out of Michigan please shut off the lights."

Welcome to Montana Warhawke. I'm glad to see you are enjoying this great state. I make it down past the Silver Dollar Bar about once a year. Always a great place for lunch and a quick beer. Again Welcome to Montana.

We will be passing through there tomorrow on the way out west to visit my family. If we get the chance we will stop and say hi as we go through.

Warhawke buddy!!!
I was just thinking about giving you a PM to see how you and your wife were doing. Good to see things working out. We get up that way now and then, and usually stop there. Now we have an excuse. I will let you know before the next time I head up that way.

Fantastic... See?? All things work out.
There is always a plan..
sometimes we just have to swim around in a deep hole before we get our feet to touch bottom.
Now don't be a stranger in here... :)

Congrats Warhawke,
It's always great to hear when someone turns things around, especially in these times.
Montana's a great state that is chocked full of some very fine people. You're a lucky man.

I will be working afternoons mostly but some midnights every other week. It is nice to be working again (dang, did I say that?) and the wife will even have health insurance soon. I most definitely plan to stock up as well and as soon as possible, including Bambi and Mr Elk (the license for which rests in my wallet even now) and getting ourselves for the dark times that appear to be crowding the horizon.
I don't know how much posting I'll be doing though, seems I'm writing a TV show, it's a long story and my agent is very touchy about me giving out clues but I think it is worth the effort, I just wish I didn't hate typing so much, but heck, if someone buys the thing I might be sitting even prettier soon. I won't be holding my breath on that one, but who knows? Stockpiling firewood for next winter is a priority too, and the wife wants to try the local trout. Lots to do and no one to do it but little ol' me. Oh well, that's life in the hinterboonies!
I do know you couldn't pay me to leave my new home state!
P.S. If any of you do stop by, ask for Pat at the Silver Express C-store, I'll be the tall blond one all the cougars will be making eyes at.
