Title: Light/Laser Combo for my new Mossberg 930 SPX Shotty
Post by: Grimjack on October 04, 2007, 04:26:55 PM
I recently purchased a Mossberg 930 SPX shotgun for a home defense weapon (or additional home defense weapon).  I would like to mount a light or a light/laser combo unit to it with a touchpad switch.  Mossberg put a Picatinny rail on the top of the receiver but this doesn't seem to be a good place to mount a light/laser unit as it would interfere with the sights.  I don't want to spend a ton of cash on this but would like something that is rugged enough to hang on the end of a 12GA and mount I guess to the magazine tube.  I don't want to do a $300 Surefire setup (didn't see they had one for this weapon anyway).  I do want a pressure pad to attach to the fore stock so the light can be easily activated/deactivated without fiddling with little switches on the light itself.

Thanks in advance for any info.

---- Bump -------

Anyone???  I would also like to get a stock with pistol grip setup similar to a Benelli m4.  Anyone know any sights with some good tactical shotgun accessories?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

  ;D  Bump   ;D

Now that this has been out for a while I was wondering if anyone had any comments.  Also would like to find a replacement stock with a pistol grip.

Thank you

I think tacStar makes cheap combos.  To get an idea, go to ebay and do a search on shotgun light and see what pops up.  It might be a starting place.  Not sure how durable the cheap ones are.  My brother popped a cheapy on one of his guns and it seems to be doing OK.  Good luck!
