All to often we see our favorite firearm slammed or questioned on its reliabilty on forums. Everyone is quick to point out all the problems they have with their handgun or rifle that you love, and never say how great it has been up to that point. How many times do people post all the great things their firearm can do? I see hundreds of posts saying "my extractor isn't working right," "My Springfield jams" cry cry cry. Well I want to hear some goodthings about your firearms we all are always in the market for finding a new one so I would like to see whats out there that you love,
Heres Mine: I got a Kimber Desert Warrior about 3 months ago. I love it. The first time on the range, my second 3 shot group well within an inch and a half group. This is my first 1911. And that day on the range was only the second time ever firing a 1911. The first time I shot one was in Iraq that my team pulled off a guard for a high profile target. My kimber blows that thing away. The Meprolight night sights are great and are so bright that when I sleep at night I have to put a towel over my gun when it is on my nightstand cause the are so good. It locks up great it feels solid which in turn gives me great confidence. The trigger is at a wonderful 5 lbs. which is perfect cause I carry it and that is what I like. The only thing I will ever do to this is get the front strap checkered. I purchased this firearm to signify somethings that I have been through in my life. I have 700 rounds through it not one failure to fire or one jam. With proper care, and I do give it plenty of that, my son will hand it down to his. I hope this is a topic you will enjoy.

My favorite gun isn't my carry gun, mainly because it isn't set up for carry. I have a Colt Gold Cup that is set up like a competition gun with compensation ports, Hogue rubber grips, and Novack adjustable sights. The first time I shot Sally I was in love. She is the best shooting pistol I've ever handled. I've never figured out what the trigger pull was but I figure it's about 2 lbs. I don't have a clue how many rounds that has been through her.(http://www.axcessmypics.com/photos/photo01/50/8d/f334450c532d.jpg)

My favorite gun for plain "fun" would be my Ruger Mark III Hunter.
Cheap to shoot, too!
-
My favorite gun is my stock Glock 26. I carry it every day in a IWB, with a spare 17 rd. mag.. It has over 8,000 rounds through it, and I have never had a malfuntion.

GLOCK with TLR-1 Light.
I guess this one is my favorite handgun I own. Rock Island Armory 1911.
Kel-Tec P32. Lately I've been pocket carrying this one everyday. Especially at Job interviews when I have to tuck in my shirt.
My favorite Rifle and Shotgun. Mossberg 590 with Laser sight and bayonet lug, and my Norinco SKS-D Sporter. It takes AK47 Magazines, and has Williams Ghost ring rear and fiberoptic front sights. They work like a dream and pick up very quick on this gun.
Here's the next gun I want. Smith & Wesson 649 in .357 Magnum. I want one of these with lasergrips on it for pocket carry.

Mine is a Ruger SBH stainless 4 5/8", .45 Colt convertible. My Grandfather bought it for me about 2 months before he passed away from cancer.

Iots of them bright ornage birds ;D It was was a mallard at age 9.
-
Handgun: Ruger Super Blackhawk just because it's fun to shoot.
Rifle: Remington 788 in .222. It was my first centerfire rifle and it shoots dime size five shot groups at 100 yds.
-
I'd like to say its' a Glock but it's not! :P
My favorite is my pre-lock S&W 640 in 357. Small, smooth, accurate and very powerful. It goes everywhere with me. Second favorite is my newer S&W MP in 45 ACP (this guns shoots so much better then I ever expected it to :o and it carries oh-so-nice). When it comes to the power to weight ratio, these two get to go along for the ride.
When it comes to kicking IDPAss I still revert to my Glock 34. :D

Got quite a few 'favorites' but lately I have really been enjoying a Remington M40 Commemorative. As far as handguns the list is topped by about any S&W 44 magnum! ;D

My "Fun Guns" are my S&W model 10-7 3in barrel and my Ruger P89. But my favorite gun as of late is my Keltec P3AT. It's not as much fun to shoot, but it sure gets 99% of my carry time. I was carrying a Taurus 605, but in the pocket it's a boat anchor.

I too bought a Kimber Warrior not too long ago and it is proving to be one of my favorites. I have yet to experience a FTF or FTE and it is very accurate.
I am also having a lot of new fun with a new Rock River AR-15 Pistol.
Those are my 2 favorites at this time.
Regards...

I would hate to not mention my 1911, but if I have to pick a fav, my mossberg 500 would have to be it. I have a house full of guns, but if I lost my 500, I would be out of business. It's my baby, and it will do anything I need it to do. The slugs will group well at 75 yards, the buck will take out anything up to 40 yard. With the side saddle and hi cap mag, it holds 14 rounds. It shoots flares, been bags, rubber slugs, and I am told I will be able to get tazzer rounds soon.
-
My favorite handguns are my Rock Island Armory Govt. 1911 .45 it's the 3rd or 4th 1911 I've owned and the first one I've been happy with about 1500 rounds and 0 problems. The only modification I made was replacing the smooth wood grips with checkered Hogue rubber grips.
For fun my Browning Buckmark .22
-
Trying to narrow down a favorite is hard. I love the Springfield Loaded models - quality from the box and set up for my southpaw build. I love the Beretta 92 series, and the P220 single-stack and the double-stack 226/228/229 are also good for my hand too. Smith and Wesson revolvers are also good for me, mainly the K, L and the "new" N-frames with the K-sized grips.
-
I can never decide. I like so many. I have two Glocks (a 17 in 9mm and a 23 in 40) and an Israeli 1911 (that pistol has issues but the 1911 in general is great) that I shoot more than anything else in my relatively limited collection (more the wife's G17 in IDPA SSP or USPSA Production). I also have a Rock River AR that I haven't shot in a while but really like. The AR and a Mossberg 500 plus the G17 do well in the local 3 gun matches (probably score higher if the operator,ME, practiced more ::)).

Don't have any pictures--Santa didn't bring that digital camera!! Guess my favorites are my Ithaca XL900 "bunny buster'' and "old reliable" H&R (don't even start) Mod 676 "Cowboy" 22lr/22mag convertible, just for all the fun they've given me over the pas 30-odd years (emphasis ODD). For serious business, the CZ75 40cal DAO (I know, but it's a solid performer), and an heirloom Browning Light Twelve that will be coming down to me in the regrettably near future. The old man taught me gun safety and swamp rabbiting with that old humpback, and those memories will be treasured forever.

My favorite isn't mine. A Navy buddy and I were on leave, driving from San Diego to his parent's home in Salt Lake City for a visit. Along the way we came upon a wreck on the interstate. A car just in front of us hit a Mule deer, breaking its back legs. It was struggling in the middle of the road and was so large that cars couldn't pass. I walked up to see if we could 4-wheel around on the shoulder when the deer gave up the ghost, we thought.
Several of us grabbed him by the rack and pulled him into the median. About then he came back to life and apparently did not like my manners, as he proceeded to lunge on broken legs towards me. Traffic going the other way on the interstate had not stopped and I was having to plan on dodging cars. Just as the deer crossed the bottom of the median and started up towards me I heard the Ba-Woom and heard the slap of bullet on meat. My buddy had hit the deer in the neck below the ear with a heavy, jacketed soft nose .357 from his 6" S&W Model 19. That was it for Mr. Mulie and I really admired that gun.
My current favorite is the next one. Mac.
-
I know I will get a lot of flack over this one. But my favorite pistol is an Auto-Ordinance Deluxe 1911A1 of West Hurley NY. It has a trigger job and Millet adjustable sights. It shoots like a dream. Shotgun is my Mossberg 500 and rifle is an H&R single shot .223 Varminter set up with a 3 X 9 X 40 Bushnell Banner scope. I was out shooting the guys in the club sporting rifle shoots so bad that three other members in the club bought them. Though they still can't beat me.

A fellow in SD did that, and had his gun confiscated and he was fined for - you guessed it, hunting out of season. Not a joke, he put the animal out of its misery, humanely, and the gummint screwed him, just cuz they could.

Why would you? It sounds like a good, solid weapon. Since Kahr took over, their 1911's have been getting a lot of good word of mouth.

Mornin' Pathfinder. Yea, that was back in 1971, and we didn't stick around for that very reason. He later got in a money jam and "sold" it to me for $100.00. About 10 years later, I got a check in the mail from him for $100.00, and a plea to sell it back. It hurt me to return it, but, you know, it was his anyway.. And I owed him. He still has it, and I still have first dibs. Mac.

my favorite rifle is ruger 10/22 and my fvorite handgun is my ruger blackhawk .357 :)
-
As of now, without a doubt my GLOCK 23!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this gun. It goes almost everywhere I go. I feed it all kinds of ammo. I make sure it's always clean. I make sure it stays safe and warm at night. And it loves me too. It has shot thousands of rounds so far. No jams. No malfunctions. No problems. It shoots like a dream. I have out shot sigs, H&K's, and other more expensive gun owners that have made comments like, "Glock.. ha ha that plastic pistol.. ha ha etc." Then when we.. out shoot them.. then they get all serious.. lol I love it!
-
When I think of 'fun gun' honestly I think I'd have to say my Ruger Single Six.
-
My first favorite was a .38 Super Colt Combat Commander, the closest thing to a .357 Magnum 1911 I could imagine.
'Course, that shows how ancient I am...
-
My favorite gun is the 1st gun I bought on my OWN. It is a S&W Matte finish stainless steel .357 revolver 6". I purchased the gun in 1984. It has had thousands of rounds through it with no problems and is a gun that I will always have, I will never sell it. I had other guns prior, but as this was the first that I paid for with my hard earned $ it holds a special place.
I'm all misty eyed just thinking about it :'( ;) ;D
-
If push came to shove, I would have to say my favorite gun was the M2 carbine I carried in Vietnam.
But of the guns I own now, I would pick my Ruger No.1 7x57. After all I just won a Ruger shirt from Marshal'ette with my story about it. :)
I would have to say my S&W Combat Magnum (aka M19) that I got for graduation from my Mom is my favorite handgun. I also carried that S&W everyday in Vietnam, but unlike the M2 I never had to shoot it. Thanks God.
For a great bird gun, I really like my ancient side by side .12 built in London in 1886. Six and a half pounds, sweet, and rebuilt with a left handed stock for me. (Don't anybody get upset by that, the original stock was broken in half when I found the gun in pieces and needing a friend at a gun shop in Bath, England. Perfect. ;D)

Something tells me a 10mm Dan Wesson Bobtail with an ambi-safety would make me a very happy man. BIGS BOOM!

My S&W 66-4 3", then my SIG P228.
