Alright, enough of the .357 stuff.
Time for the men in the house to step up and show us some .44 Magnum action! GRRUUHH!!!
I just got through putting the Hi-Viz sights on the carbine this morning and got all worked up over it again. Cant wait to try'em out in the field!

Two green dots in back, and orange in the front. From playing around with it in the house I think its gonna work great!
The Burris 2-7x on the Super Redhawk is VERY clear, but about 3-4" short on eye relief when turned up. Thinking about replacing it with ???. Dont know what yet.

Very nice stuff, Badger.
As to the scope, you might consider a fixed power. I used to have a Redfield 3x on one of my Super Blackhawks and it was just the ticket.

Thanks for the compliments. I saw a scratched up carbine at Williams Gun Sights (they've got a pretty nice / huge used gun section in their store) and went to buy it as a project gun... It was gone. BUT, they'd just put this one out that day in a case for $500.. "It was used to prototype their peep sight when they first made them, fired about 50 times, photographed and put away." Even got the original cardboard box! "This is the gun shown in the Ruger owners manuals to display the peepsight option Williams produced."
Hate to "destroy the history of the gun" by modifying it. But I didnt buy it to put in a safe for 20 years like they did. I like using it to much! It just handles and shoots way to nice to stash away somewhere.
I like the Burris A LOT. Wondering if it can be adjusted or modified to add a little relief? When its set to 3 or 4 power its fine. Above that and I have to bend my arms to see through it.

UGH, tough choice. Already have a couple .44's, and 12ga.. So wouldnt have to "hord" up a whole new caliber of ammo that way...
