Even if it's not blue??  I think this Savage 308 Law Enforcement just wouldn't look right colored up  :)

Sorry, have never seen the book  :-\
I wish we could shoot there. Thats just the backyard of the Spokane house. No shooting or fireworks allowed there  :'(
We have to drive 15 minutes up to friends house to shoot.
It's rough, I know....but I'm willing to put up with the travel time    :P

Got a Savage 270 myself in black. Love Savage rifles and the synthetic stocks take a lickin' and keep coming back for more.

I'd keep her black. That's one sweet rifle!!!

Well, the scope is a Leupold  3.5x10x40 and you can shoot a long way with it  ;D
Thats all I can tell you, it's not my favorite one to shoot and I've only done it a few times.
