Title: Future Weapons NLOS Cannon
Post by: Kid Shelleen on July 03, 2009, 03:19:27 PM
See how good an artillery man you are.  Make sure your elevation
and velocity calculations are correct. Darn it, guys, don't waste any
ammo.

Good fun, but totally addictive. Go ahead. Make your day.....................

Just hit start. You'll figure it out.

I completed 15 rounds with 171,400. You really have to time the choppers ans missles after round 10.

Scored 19,700. That was fun and killed some time. Some of those shots are tricky.

Another 10minutes I'll never get back....

Somewhere here in the DRTV archives is a scoped target game with 3 different rifles, 300Win, 338Lapua, and a 50BMG.

You have to adjust for the windage and elevation, to the metal target downrange, the "ping is great" at 1500 yds...

Wind changes each round, and it's very authentic in its adjustments.

If you find it, keep it to yourself. The canon game and Eric's spider are bad enough. Its as bad as Lemmings and the Obama vs Palin Mario brothers time wasters. (however if you want to pm me the thread I won't tell a soul). ;D

Good find!  Fun stuff.  Round 5 was as far as I went...  Got most hits on second try.

Why when I calculate the range is my estimates half of actual?
As on range C, the target is 72" tall x 27.778 = 2000 / mil of 4.5 = 444.48y
Actual distance is 920y.
I wonder what I am doing wrong?

Yes that is helping. Thanks
I was using the scope at a 20 vs a 10 power. That was causing my miscalculations.
I am happy to say I got 40 points my first time through with out looking at my cheat sheet.
The last stage, 308 I got first hit in the center.
Now, just to understand windage and I might be a better long distance rifle shot.
