OK, this poll assumes that there is no more bad news on the political front, an economic collapse, the start of a new war, a serious terrorist action at home.....or anything like that.  Just a pure as is timeline.

I'm always in the market for a new gun.  ;D

I think prices will come down but it's not going to effect me very much. I pay dealer price on new guns. I will see the benefit on the used side, especially if the people who did panic buying decide to dump their purchases.

Well, unemployed at the moment, so no new gun purchases planned until cash starts rolling regularly again.

That said, there is always - and I mean always - something I need, like a DSA FAL, or maybe a full-size 1911, or a Sig 250 in .45ACP, or . . . .

Hope prices come down some.

Just bought a used (but unfired, new in box) Heritage .22 from my M-I-L (she was just going to give it to me, but since she needed money for property taxes, I gave her the full value for it to help her out).

Probably be a while before I buy any other guns (unless a good deal comes along).
Focusing on ammo right now.

Grown kid, steady employment (knock wood), plenty of solvency (no debt) and an understanding spouse (reciprocity).  I'm always looking for something.  Might be new, might be new to me!

1)  Lever Gun
2)  Short 6-8 round 870 or Mossy (Maverick will do)
3)  Colt 1911 (anything pre-94)

Every time I say that I'm not buying I end up buying one ... or two, so I'm keeping my mouth shut ... at least until I pick up my new one this week  ;D

If I had money I'd be a buyer right now. Unfortunately I am hoping my cash flow will pick up by the end of the year so I can get a could new toys, like either a S&W 500 or a S&W 460 and an AR upper in 6.8.

I just bought a pistol last month. I stop in at the local toy store whenever I'm close by and see what they have that I can't live without.I was looking at a Savage "Scout" rifle in .308 today, was used, asking $479.00, I may go back and put it on lay  away... ;D ;D

Actually I am looking for an CZ SP01 Phantom right now, but since it's pretty new they just aren't out there in numbers.  Saw one at full retail but will not pay that.  Should be able to get one for less.  Also am hoping the price of AR's come down so I can get one - not holding my breath on that one no matter what some shops say.

FWIW

I just got a pistol out of layaway last week. As I told my wife in response to her question, "I don't NEED a new gun, but when I want one I'll get it. Prices may come down somewhat, but not to the levels of spring 08.

We just bought a revolver last month and it was a private, great deal. I guess that's where I'm at right now. I'd like to buy more guns but I'm running out of room and our financial situation is a little dicey right now (what else is new?). I'm not running out buying things because it's not smart to do, but if we come across a real deal - something really cool at a good price, we'll probably get it.

Glad to hear it. That thing has killed a lot of ducks over the years. Enjoy.

I have most of the toys I could ever need, the main battery is covered with redundancy, but I can't pass up a really good deal. I have given up on the .50 bmg, as ammo is 4 bucks a pop, and reloading you will get approximately 28 rounds per 1lb of powder.

The .338 win mag will have to be my big round.

I'm always in the market for a deal. I'm not counting on prices going down much. If I've got the dough and the opportunity presents itself.....well what can I say I'm weak. ;D

My list of wants still way exceeds my current ability to fill it. :(

For once in my life I am actually content with my battery. Assuming everything works out with the new AR, I have everything I need for hunting, plinking and SD needs. This is odd because I have been a lot more flush than I am now. I guess its just getting older ad figuring out what you like and need. My real wants now turn to thoughts of an affordable optic of some sort for the AR and ammo. That being said, I am and always will be easy. :-\

As I read this I realized there are a couple guns on my find list - M 1 Garand and/or M1a

I have wanted for a long time, but some recent events have gotten me wanting more and more.

Just what I need is another gun to go organized shoots with.  I'm also still shooting small bore with a borrowed gun ...

No need Tom. Even M'lette understands that stainless doesn't go with a leather holster, and since its to nice to throw away, you have to get another gun to go with it. Also, that Filson jacket is cut wrong for 26" barrels, it makes me look fat, but that great little LC Smith I saw with the 28" is slimming and  would go perfectly and.......
On second thought, I think we'll both be in the corner. ;D
