Thank you to all those who have served, protecting my freedom and well being.  Pray for those gone who have done the same.  Now I'll go and recreate the seige of Fort McHenry at a friends house, with legal ambiguity, and celebrate the sacrifice, commitment, and selflessness of every American before me that has taken steel to the tyrant and put their blood upon the Earth.

Thanks to Madison Washington and Jefferson and Adams and Hamilton. Thanks for the Federalist Papers the Bill of Rights and the 14th Ammendment, and the 19th. Thanks for free elections, free markets and peaceful transitions of power. Thanks that we remembered who we were, unlike all the nations of Latin America, who intially copied our Constiution and then fell to despotism. Thanks for the rule of law.

A woman asked Benjamin Franklin :

"What have you given us?"

He replied: "A Republic madam, if you can keep it."

After 233 years, that quote needs to be steadfast in our minds I hope we can "keep it".
