Teacher sends homemade porn to entire class
A TEACHER accidentally put pornographic footage of herself on a DVD that was meant to be filled with school memories from the past year, and nobody noticed until after it was sent home to shocked parents and students.
Parents of students who attend Isabelle Jackson Elementary in Sacramento, California, said Crystal Defanti is a good teacher who made an embarrassing mistake.
"My son's reaction was, 'Dad, is that Ms. Defanti?'," said one parent who saw the video. "We were up till midnight doing the birds and the bees," he said.
The school is considering what action to take over the incident.

I'm not sure what grade these kids were in or what age they were, but I can clearly remember two teachers (5th grade and a 6th grade) that couldn't have shown us anything we hadn't already imagined. In fact, I am now really disappointed I didn't get one of those
dvd's 8 mm films ::) Heck I know one teaching intern (grad student teaching 100 level courses) I had in college that had some history (current side jobs) that I would have loved to have seen ;D

What pisses me off is that this teacher's innocent mistake is going to be national...or international based on phil getting it...news. There is nothing "pornographic" about two people having a good time. Her only mistake is not making sure the dvd she used was new one and not the one she taped over to create the kid's dvd.

And people wonder why our girlfriends don't let us take naked pictures of them? Actually something similar happened at UT. The guy I shared an office with was TAing for a prof who required three studnts to argue against the assigned article for the week and email it to the whole class. The problem was that this was in the dark ages and bandwidth was limited. Undergrads had strict time limits in the computer lab and you'd write your emails, hold them in que, and then send them in a batch so as not eat up your allotment. This poor girl wrote an email to her boyfriend who was overseas, in which she first went on about what an obnoxious prick the prof was for making her do this "stupid" assignment. She then went on to give a very graphic description of how she spent the night before consoling herself with a couple of C cell batteries in a personal electronic device, a few clothes pins, and an ice cube and a candle. She just got the address a leeeetle wrong. :o Needless to say, I doubt she had any trouble fiding a date. ;D
FQ13 who had to sit there with a straight face when she came to Zach in tears asking if he'd gotten it. Anyone who doubts that UT produces teachers with high professional standards will be pleased to note that we waited until we heard the elevator ding before we lost it. ;D

We lost a teacher in a county school last year due to private photos that were displayed by a jilted boyfriend. She lost her career due to his revenge. The photos were realy hot though and she was with some other women in the photos. Looked like they were all having a good time and they were all in great physical shape. ;D

Actually TAB, DON'T!!!! The woman has been humiliated enough. She doesn't need us laughing at her. As I said, in my post about the student, I'm not above laughing about this kind of situation, but neither Zach nor I, nor even the prof gave that girl's name up. In fact the prof, to his great credit, despite being called a prick in the email, informed the class that if he ever found out anyone had forwarded it that they would have the choice of being given an F or facing disciplinary action for sexual harrassment. Gentlemen may laugh about this stuff, but they don't name names.

if some one else had realeased it, I would agree with you... but when you do it( even if its by mistake) you deserve what ever you get.

UT had this scam (I mean way to help the studets) program, whereby you could take a few core courses by email. The idea was to make it easier for non-majors to take certain required courses by e-mail rather than wait for overcrowded classes, that the university wouldn't hire profs to teach. The short version is I "taught, (hack, cough, choke) a couple of these ponzi schemes (and thats being generous) for extra cash. The problem arose when I had to send in my final grades at the end of the semester. I accidently cc'd it to a hunting discussion group I was a member of. 150 odd students, names, grades, and ssns (stupidly your student ID number at UT at the time). Two federal crimes and a firing offence, all rolled into one. I freaked, called in a favor from a local DA, who was getting his MA, got the home phone of the moderator, and called him at 1 am to kill the post. (M'lette, you're lucky I just sent you an e-mail). The thing is it could have jepordized student privacy, tarnished the university and worst case scenario landed me with a huge fine. Stuff happens when computers are involved. Leave the woman alone.

Statute of limitations Tom. It was 14 years ago and they were misdemeanors. If I run for office (thats just to make you wake up screaming one night ;D) I'm sure it will come back to haunt me. Otherwise its all good. It did scare the crap out of me at the time though, as I really needed that job.

I still don't understand why in the hell someone would want to video themselves in action in the first place. I can't count the number of girls I have dated over the years that complained about a tape of them being out there. I could make a rough guess at 30 or more women, but I would say there are more.

That reminds me of something the late Sam Kineson said in one of his stand-up routines about video taping himself having relations with a woman. He said it just ended up looking like two sick polar bears at the zoo.

say what? she commited a felony, one which would make her a sex ofender... now I don't think she should become a felon, or a sec ofender, but she needs to lose her job.

I haven't, and won't, watched the video for reasons I've made clear.But unless there were children involved and everyone else wanted to be there, it shouldn't be a crime, it shouldn't get her fired and it shouldn't be any of our damn business.If you're going to get all righteous on us TAB, at least change your damn avatar! Otherwise, one might accuse you of hypocrisy. I'm just sayin'. :-X

Agreed, teachers have been outrageously fired for online picks and opinions, they don't give or advertise to minors, but here you have a teacher that distributes this material to kids, through her own stupidity, and everyone feels sorry for her, and its just an accident. Her ass should be out of there. Don't care what you do at home, but you bring that to work and there's always consequences, specialy with kids. TAB's avatar, as tasteless as it is, isn't being displayed on a site frequented by children, much less shown to them buy a person who's supposed to show better judgment and be in a position of trust. Criminal? No, no intent. But inexcusable. BTW, yours truly has been editing video for various types of clients for quite some time, and I have enough commonsense to review every second of video and audio. EVERY second, because when you clearing a room to a video for a graduation, one F bomb off that tape into a room full of families can land you in hot water.

But this happened in Ca. where it is OK to teach the same kids about queers and take the class to a same sex wedding. So your argument falls apart.

That was her only mistake........the tape didn't show homosexual relations. Had she had THAT kind of footage it would've been acceptable in Kalifornia.
