This attorney was just on Tom Gresham's GunTalk and all I can say is I'm speechless.......

Is this for real? This is a hell of a lot crazier than our dumb California laws. We do have a one-handgun-a-month law, but it doesn't apply to dealers.
-
It's for real as incredible as it sounds.
Perhaps the big gun manufacturers who supply law enforcement and military in the great state of New Jersey should consider taking a page out of Ronnie Barrett's book and simply refuse to provide guns to the forces there if such a bill becomes law.
-
Yeah, that has to be unconstitutional.
-
Dude, just get outta there. I lived there for 30 years, and now having seen how the "other half" lives, that has got to be the most screwed up place there is. Just get out before there's a law against that. In fact, there will be penalties for leaving the state soon. Such as tax penalties for selling your house and not buying another within the state and limits on pensions if you leave the state. Just string the barbed wire man. The people that live there are so brainwashed, they don't even know it's happening. They're like the frog in the boiling pot of water.
-
Rasmussen polls from last week showed the dem probably getting beat, so if they can stall it till after that it's dead.
What I don't understand is why these assholes don't move to Cuba or China where all this socialist crap is already in place and quit bothering the REAL Americans.
-
In the meantime, sue, tie the law up in the courts, keep it from being implemented.
-
Hmmmm..... maybe we should pass a law where you can only perform 1 abortion per month, or you can only hand out Welfare to 1 person per month, or maybe only let Dear Leader do one thing thats unconstitutional per month...... Gee, I wonder if the Dems would let that one fly by?!?!?!
-
Is the NRA-ILA involved yet? If not, they need a heads up.
That's just nuts. >:(
-
Jay, what's the dillio :o

Don't know...this is the first I've heard of gun dealers being mentioned. It sounds even more ridiculous than NJ could dream up, although I wouldn't put it past them to pass something half baked like that.
It won't stand...it can't...they can't put all those guys out of business....they're already driving businesses and residents out at a break-neck pace.
I don't know who said it but I certainly am not brainwashed about all thiis crap. We have no choice but to stay 'till we can get out of our properties without taking a bath or worse.
Just 'cause you live where you've got your basic 2A rights doesn't mean you're more aware than someone who is in a jam. We're just in a jam, and almost no one in our state govt. will listen.

Bummer, Jay
You are obviously way too good of a guy to have to put up with such bologna. Hang in there. How can a state keep driving it's businesses and residents out? Not a very bright business plan. If you ever do decide to leave, I hope that it's a smooth exit.

Our Gov., Jon Corzine was chairman of Goldman Sachs. He obviously didn't do too well with that, although he had enough money to fund his own Gov campaign. Now he's behind in the polls to Chris Christy who is republican. Unfortunately it sounds like Christy has a lot of questionable appointments and stuff in his background. Sounds like he rewards his buddies quite a bit. (Like all the other ones DON'T do that?)
It's the most expensive state in the union. We made our life here, rasied three kids and had a number of businesses and have always managed to get by in spite of the costs. Anymore, though we're just scrambling not to lose things.
I've got a great job now and except for 2A issues, we could have a nice life here still if we could sell somethings, but now is just not the time.

Well I'm going to do us both a favor and go to bluebone.net where I can pick up a great CD. Least I can do for a Jersey guy. I used to leave in Easton, Pa. It's about as close that you can get to living in New Jersey without actually being there.

My first wife was from Bethlehem!

True to your word....I just caught that one and packed it up myself. Thanks Kid! You'll be happy you did it.
Easton...we used to do shows in a little place called the Bluetone in Easton. It was up on Chestnut (maybe?)- up a hill next to the court house and jail up on the top of the hill. Cool town and it's really going through some renovation. Used to like to travel early and drive out to Famous cigars. Spend a little time out there talking to that crazy Cuban lady, smoking and buying, then go back and check in at the Larry Holme's Hilton (at the bottom of the hill near 611. Good times. Now it's owned by Indians and the whole place stinks like curry.
One day the Bluetone just closed up. I think their website is still up, but those days are over.

The good old ABE area (Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton).

Most folks know Easton for three things; Dixie Cups, Larry Holmes and Mario Andretti. They joked that Mario perfected his skills on the circle in Easton. I think he probably learned more trying to take Hwy22/I-78 to New York. It was, at one time, declared the most dangerous stretch of highway in the country. ;D Man I'd love a real hoagie, a real pizza, a real Philly cheesesteak, some real italian sausage.........I could go on and on. Ahh, memories.

First off, the fact that you participate on this forum shows you are one of the enlightened ones. I refer to the brainwashed ones as the folks that go off like lambs to the slaughter believing they are moving in a "progressive direction". Well most totalitarian regimes were viewed as progrressive until it was too late. The people need to be made aware. How about a pro 2nd amendment music festival? What happened to the patriots that made fake cannons along the Delaware bay to stop the British from landing and dug a trench from the ocean to polute the fresh water supply at Cape May point to stop the Brits from getting it?
-
I like the cannon idea as a protest with "sound", incorporated into a fund raising, tea party, 2nd Amend. rally?
While it's still warm up there,..... Labor Day?
I'll keep my secrets about my times in Metedeconk to myself,..... 8)
