Yes, this is what is meant by "striker fired".

This is really sweet. Just got my comfirmation letter from Glock to attend a Armorer Class next month. I have not been a armorer since I was in the Air Force from 88-91. We did not have Glocks either, damn it. Looking forward to learning more about the firearm I have adored and carried since 1993.  ;)

Awesome Ping. Congratulations. It can't be too hard to become a Glock armorer for a man with your experience. Glock simplicity. Glock perfection.

We'll soon have a true Glock expert in our Forum family. I'll look forward to hearing about your experience.

Tools won't be expensive either, how much can a tube of super glue cost.  ;D
Have fun Ping, take lots of notes  ;D

You are hilarious Tom and thanks Kid. I am looking forward to it and was told I would have some business sent my way from people who want to add or trick out their Glock. Changing springs and adding different sights is one of the things I want to do with my Glock. I prefer adjustable rear sights for all my Glocks.

Post back a review of the class.  I have been thinking about attending one and even taking the advanced class.

Looking forward to getting that under my belt and eventually take a Combat Focus Shooting Course. Just want to get as much experience as possible. Now if the lottery would draw my numbers, dang it.  :D

Practice your disassembly and reassembly, as at the end of the class the fastest wins a pistol , or at least when I went through. Also you get to order a new pistol, It was 265.00 when I went through, but definitely a discount off of msrp, + an 11% excise tax. I went through in 1993, I hope these things still apply.

Do you know how to detail strip, if not I will try to let you know the tricks.

Good luck, you will learn some things anyway.

Do not know the tricks. With most government weapons, yes, with Glock, no. I have broken them down several times since I am on my 6th. My Glock 35 should hopefully be here this weekend since I over nighted the payment yesterday. I do have experience but not a professional with a Glock.
