Title: Michael - Need Your Help
Post by: Hazcat on October 18, 2007, 07:02:04 AM
On another blog a member mentioned that in your article "World's Most Versatile Rifle" in the August issue of Outdoor Life you said that Cobb Mfg is making ARs in long cartridges like 30-06, 270 and 8mm.

He cannot find a web site for Cobb.  Can you help?

Thanks!

The website is http://www.cobb50.com/, but they appear to have removed much of the information...  Probably a function of the fact that they were just bought.

Yep...the giant Cerberus Capital Management, who own Remington and Bushmaster, bought them, and I expect the Cobb product to be integrated into other lines. The Cobbs are the best long-cartridge AR guns out there — Cobb founder Skip Patel is a genius and an altogether nice guy.
