Here you can click on your state or any other and see the companies awarded stimulus money and the amount and the services...
for said money....- it's on recovery.gov. Even a little transparency into how our gov't spends worse than drunken sailors is amazing.

This is my favorite.....

Amazingly NJ appears to be doing something right with stimulus money. As I have recently learned due to an unfortunate turn in my employment status, when an ex-employee keeps his health care through his former employer (COBRA program) he has to pay the employer the premiums. NJ is using stimulus money to pay 2/3 of the monthly premium. That's a big help when unemployment amounts to less than half of your take-home pay.
Small consolation in an otherwise STUPID state.

This list does not include all the "municipal" projects >:(
I am so sick of seeing the orange signs with the modified BHO logo bragging that it is a "recovery" project. Over a million dollars to overlay a small town airport (was going to happen anyway, but with recovery dollars they are tearing out the runway and replacing it with concrete), and a highway upgrade through a town that is going to be bypassed in the near future (bulk of the money is on planters on the sidewalks and center line. These are just two that I see on a regular basis ... And, did I mention those ugly orange signs with the modified BHO logo bragging about our money being being spent the free money helping us to prosperity >:(
I'm not against companies being able to upgrade or add lines, like the two pound ham line, but did you notice that the bulk (not only in dollars, but in projects awarded) are going to large national and international companies?

I like how many don't have any real descriptions of what was obtained.
And the projects listed under "Atlanta"? The money ~($19million) actually went to Pennsylvania!
WAIT ---------- WAIT
This just in, the Dept of Interior spent $960 with Glock in Smyrna for 3 Glock 19s!! WOW I'm impressed.
ARRA FUNDS ARE BEING USED FOR THE PURCHASE OF 3 GLOCK MODEL 19 WITH 5 POUND TRIGGER AND TRIJICON NIGHT SIGHTS, PURCHASED FOR OIG INVESTIGATORS IN THE RECOVERY OVERSIGHT OFFICE.
Of course, if I were a Glock dealer/distributor, I'd be upset that Glock was undercutting my business by selling directly at such a low price. Think Glock will sell me 1 model 19 for $320?

We have one of those too Alf. A contract awarded to a company outside of Boston to design windows for a building in Detroit!
Makes no sense...

WAIT there's even more (SUR PRISE SUR PRISE)
The FCC spent $133,848 for fitness equipment!!!! The company, either a CIA/NSA/FCC front or an exercise equipment company is in Acworth, Georgia. It doesn't say where the equipment was installed. Possibly at the FCC office in Atlanta.

The contracts for work on Cherry Point AFB, in NC, are just your standard gouging,.....
almost half a million dollars to pressure wash a parking lot,..... not ALL the parking lots, just the Visitors Check In lot.
It's not that big at Cherry Point visitor Check In Lot....
It would take 4 guys 1 day to do it. 2-3 days if they want fresh striping.
Nice waste..... >:(
