Title: Can't Beleave It "NO GUNS ALLOWED" or maybe I Can
Post by: 1Buckshot on July 21, 2009, 04:43:21 PM
This is a Email I just sent of to my wood products supplier for my cabinet shop. I can't believe they had A "NO GUNS" sigh on this type of business. It's  a corporation ran out of Utah, Intermountain Wood Products. They just lost my $$$$$.

Dear Sirs.
As the owner of Creative Furniture & Cabinetry in Rona Mt. I have purchased lumber products from your company in Missoula MT for about five years. Today I had to be in Missoula to pickup other thing ,so I decided to stop by the your store and have a look around. The first thing I was greeted with was a sign that said " NO GUNS". Because I am a long time concealed carry permit holder and carry while I am on the road, this surprised me coming from a company that sell to a large group of customers that own firearm for sport and self defense. I know that many of the cabinet shop owners have never visited your store and would shocked that your company would have this policy. Because of this, I will be informing the shop owner that I know of your anti gun policy's. I for one will be looking for a new supplier  for my wood products as the NO GUNS sign tells me you do not care for my business.

Sincerely
Monty Lucht

Great Letter.

The power of the consumer, who just happens to lawfully exercise his Constitutional Right to Bear Arms? How awful....

Maybe he put the sign up to not get robbed, BG's always pay attention to signs.......

Good Job for telling it like it is !!! If more people would do that, it would let them know people won't tolerate the politically correct
BS.

Way to go!  Wouldn't it be refreshing if a business put a sign saying Permit Owners Welcomed Here.

I will be waiting for a reply from the company.  I have no problem with hitting the company hard, but my response will depend on their reasons.

Our local bank, like most banks, has a similar sign.  However, we are welcome to carry there.  The only reason for the sign is to satisfy an insurance company rule.  I have written the insurance company on this one, and CC'd the bank officers (I didn't tell the ins. co. that the bank pres. wasn't enforcing the sign).

On the other side, we have some small businesses around here that are "gun free" because mom and pop want it that way.  I have made them aware that their hatred of my Rights has lost them a customer.

Do it because you are forced to, and I will work with you to right it ... Lead the way on your own or willingly follow and I will fight you!

I talked to the manager about the sign. He said he gets allot of flack about it, but the orders come from the top. The company sells in the west only in pro gun states, so It just amazes me that they would alienate the customer base they sell to.

Its actually a very small %.  even states like NV and AZ, haveless then 5% of the population with permits.

 Done

Do you realize that your Anti Second Amendment policy is costing you business ?
Potentially as much as 15 % of the market in areas you do business in in which the Citizens are primarily Pro civil rights.
