Title: pictures
Post by: m25operator on October 18, 2007, 11:01:08 PM
Marshall and Marshallette,

I am having a devil of a time posting pictures, I have Kodak easy share,  and also use Linux, but I've tried  it at home and at work.. It seems my picture files are too large? What tips do y'all  have to  help? I need really specific info, as to  how to shrink my  photo's to match this program.

Thanks, in advance.

M25,

Go to photobucket.com and get an account there (free) then up load your picture to you photo bucket account (easy).  Then post your picture from photobucket.

Works for me.

Hey Haz, did as you said, but when I hit browse for attachments, photo bucket is not there. How do you post the pics, and in what format from photo bucket?

It won't be under attachments. Look at your photobucket account. Under each picture, there are 3 or 4 URL's to copy and paste. you want the IMG CODE. Copy that by simply clicking on the text in the box, then right click paste it here in the reply screen where you want to post it.

I managed to screw that up as well, I copied more than one picture, and when I went to paste, it kept coming up with the same address of the first picture. I'm guessing paste one picture at a time??

LOL.  Yep one picture at a time.  for example

I copied and pasted one code then copied and pasted the second.  The easiest way to do this is open a second browser and copy from one and paste to the other.

I just tried to post 1 picture here and when I hit post, nothing happens. Thanks you guys, but I'm at a loss. I pasted in the space and everything looked good.

The other thing you can do on Photo Bucket is set the size of the upload picture. I chose 640x480 for Message Board display. I uploaded a 3504x2336 image (3.55MB) which was turned into a 640x427 (233kb). Makes for a faster load on this board or any board.

Choosing the 640 or smaller size works best (in terms of paging loading). On Photobucket at the Upload page look for size options.

I'm considering replacing him.  He keeps complaining about the AK's length of pull.   :D
