Does anyone have any information about the availability of ammunition from Black Hills? I know most is headed to Iraq but are they planning any shipments for civilian use. In particular .223, 77gr.

Check out Graf & Sons at http://www.grafs.com/
I just bought some ammo form them and the service was great (the lady called the next day to let me know that one caliber was out, but coming so she would back order it for me. Their prices are just a little above some competitors, but the shipping and handling is very low. They sent me an email with the expected arrival date, then sent one so show that I had received it. Great service!

Up until I retired last month I was responsible for ordering ammo for our department and we dealt strickly with Black Hills ammo. The last order I placed with them, which was back in August, I asked them about 223 availability. They told me December 2008 was probably the soonest I could expect shipment. Now this is for large quantity orders, you may have better luck with smaller orders. That 77 gr Match King is very popular in Iraq. You can call Black Hills ammo at 1.800.568.6625 or 1.605.348.5150 and they can give you more current assessment on availability.

Thanks, that is what I had expected. I shoot highpower and the 77gr. is popular for shooting across the course.
