Being 28 years old I sometimes wish I had been old enough to see a trully patriotic america, and get the chance to watch the rifleman on black and white tubes.  I have to say that I love cowboy songs and western swing.  So, to be sure the ladies arent left out...

Patsy Montana

Patsy Cline doing Bob Wills

Here is George Strait keepin this music alive  Bob Wills must be proud they carry on the legacy rest his soul.

I guess they didnt teach Martys Backup singer any firearms safety.

He broke the 180 rule!! He broke the 180 rule!!     ;D

For great cowboy music, try some of the modern folks. No links, y'all can find them on Youtube.

Ian Tyson - the granddaddy of modern Western music; who needs Country when Ol' Ian's around?

Brenn Hill - anything that's not a cover of something Tyson has done; try Last of the Red Rock Riders or Horseback Getaway

RW Hampton - his song The Journey is almost my life story

Joni Harms - cowgirl from Oregon, check out Old Fashioned Girl or Blue Montana Moon

Ken Overcast - only 1-eyed cowboy poet I've ever met; start with A Cowboy and His Bride

Nanci Griffith - if you ain't bawling like a calf by the end of Montana Backroad, you ain't alive

Rex Allen Jr. - OK, had to through in a oldie just to shake you up

Cindy Church - does a lot of duets with Tyson; try Love on the Range

Katy Moffatt - her Hallie Lonigan is one of the best songs about life on the Prairie ever; also try Me and My Uncle; Black Diamond is another elegy to a horse that has no equal
