Post by: Pathfinder on August 02, 2009, 11:20:10 AM
He did not survive the crash in 1991 in Iraq.

I hope this brings some peace to his family, it's been a long, long time.

I hope he gets his place in Arlington National Cemetery, with full military honors, and fly over.

He and his family deserve it.

Welcome back home Captain Michael "Scott" Speicher. Rest in Peace.

This is odd, I am Glad? that his remains have been found and the doubt has been removed as to where he has been and what had happened. It seems he was not captured and tortured, or beheaded, like could have happened if captured, under Sadam, probably would not have happened, but who knows. Going out in a fiery jet crash is not on my short list of things to do yet. I hope his family gets some peace out of this, and Arlington is a fit place for a warrior. I agree a fly by is worthy.

Yes, rest in peace Cpt. Michael " Scott " Speicher.
May you sit at the right hand of God, until your family comes to join you.

The question is finally answered. Comfort and peace to the family and Rest In Peace Captain Speicher. Thanks to God that he was never captured.

It's always nice to here that another one of our Heroes is coming home.

Capt Speicher must have been a special sailor, it's not often that an Officer reaches the rank of Captain at such an early age!  That's a full bird Colonel to you Army guys!  Not an easy task considering he was only 34 or 35 years old when he went down.

God Bless and Fair Winds Captain!
