Post by: Luv2Shoot on August 07, 2009, 05:56:18 PM
The Question is:
"Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?"

Of course not.....it's a representation of how real Americans feel about the 2nd Amendment.

It's been up since Nov 07.
But it's a trick question, the historically accurate answer is NO. The 2A acknowledges a GOD GIVEN right.
But I answered yes as well, you can't expect the media to get it right.

The poll was back in 2007 but they it left it on-line, not to measure the response about 2nd Amendment, but to observe how information ebbs and flows around the Internet.  The poll numbers are meaningless.

May I make a suggestion?

When somebody sends you a link to a poll, first go to the organization's home page (like USAToday) and try to find a "drill down"  (a link) to the poll.  If you can't find a link from the news organizations page, then either it's an old, out-of-date, or it's a hoax.

Some of these are actually trying to plant viruses and such.  I rarely, just blindly click on links people send until I scope out the validity of them.
