I posted this as my 1st post, albeit in the wrong place I would assume:
Michael,
what outer wear shell jacket have you been wearing on your episodes?
tannish in color, probably Gore-tex 'hard' shell no flaps over waterproof zippers? possibly a rollup hood in the collar
thanks much..I watch every week via recorded episodes .. as its on a little earlier than I get home

I believe he answered this in a live chat I attended.  He said he wears two, a Carhart and a Duluth Trading.  Nothing as high tech as you posit.  The point is to slip under the radar and not draw attention to yourself.
