OK now that most of the country is P.O. at most of out great leaders in WASHINGTON. What dose every one think of term limits on these bozos. I'm thinking one eight year term with half voted in every for years. The current Senators and Reps. that are under six years can stay. The others that have been in for more than six years are out at the first election.
Is it time to start a National Referendum for the next election? It would get my vote.

AND none of this golden retirement nonsense!

I've always advocated term limits for all politicians.......my gubmint professor in college looked at me like I was speaking Chinese. :-\

I used to advocate term limits, but I have come to realize that term limits in Washington would only shift the power more firmly to the staffers and bureaucrats. It would be even worse with all the power being held by people with no way to remove from their positions.
Term limits work well for states that have not become to corrupted yet, but DC would need a major reboot for that to work.

Just an observation it surprises me that no one gets p1ssed off about the amount of money it takes to run for office, 10's of Millions for a presedential campaign if not more, less for other positions but sizable never the less, I always thought governent was supposed to be made up by the people for the people, not just those who have the $$ to buy votes?
I always though that it would be a good idea to have the genitals of a politician connected to a taser wired into popularity poles ;D

r_w is right, the Pelosi's and Reid's don't know or do anything, it is the staffers who actually run everything including writing the bills and speeches.
They are the ones we need to put the fear of God into.
