Thanks guys!  Yes I'm alive just working and catching up on sleep on the weekends.  Midnight shift will do that to ya.  Plus I had to go up to Wisconsin a few weeks ago for a family function.  Trying to get my 1911 finished but the rear sight cut is off.  Waiting for an answer from the instructor of my class for direction.  I did take it to the range to do a test fire...the results in the attached picture.  Pretty good for no sights installed, huh?

When the DR Middlebrook "fistfire" videos were up, he started out by shooting steel plates with a no sight 1911 at 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards.

Sorry that I'm late to post. I hope that you had a great B'Day.

If you shoot that well at 25' without sights, you're going to be hell on wheels when you have 'em. ;D

Try doing that with a glock.  ;)

There's a great video of a no "sight" shooter out to 75 yds. Dr. Middlebrook  is a no sight shooter,...

Regardless, have a great Birthday.

As others posted,.....with a great pistol, and a natural shooter,...you don't need no "stinkin" sights....

sights are for cheatin anyway.... ;)

45 is a 45, steel chamber and barrel either way.
