Title: Wounded Warrior Project
Post by: Rastus on August 15, 2009, 09:38:25 AM

All the junk aside, we do need to remember to do what we can to help our Wounded Warriors.  These are hard economic times, but there are worse things.

Thanks,
Ken

Agreed, even if it's just a buck, send something.

They deserve our gratitude and our help.

Made a service call to a Key West guide boat, 24' Shearwater Flats Boat, and it is owned by Lt. Col. John McDaniel ret.

He is the founder of Wounded Warriors In Action organization. "Providing World Class outdoor sporting opportunities to out Nation's wounded veterans in order to assist their healing process, welcome them home and repay a debt of gratitude for the great sacrifices they have made."

Young guy for a Lt. Col. and has a scar that runs up his left leg from his shin to his upper thigh about an inch or more wide.

We didn't know who he was until he handed me his card at the end of the service call. When I turned in my R.O (repair order), I told our Service Mgr. who this guy is and what he does, and we sent him a letter of gratitude instead of a bill..

These are great organizations to support anyway we can.
Thanks Ken.

Just trying to remind people again.  By the way, we're still on target for October 24 & 25 in Tulsa for a shoot.  We have the entry forms almost ready...Curt, the main instigator, got in a car wreck the other day so we're waiting for OK from him to send 'em out.  When the new forms are approved, I'll post in the thread for activities.  10 stages of steel with a few donated arms from S&W...it'll move faster than the Steel Challenges, you shoot a stage twice instead of three times and shoot 10 stages.  We're hoping this format makes it more enjoyable.

Shoot aside...you can go to the link in the initial thread and donate a buck or two if you want.

Saw this video and it benefits the Wounded Warrior Project and decided this thread needed a little bump up.

It's this weekend and rumor has it that Senator Inhofe and lead Gubernatorial candidate Randy Brogon are likely to show up.

It's for a great cause so if ya can, it's THE place to be!

Haz, I actually used the word magazine (not clip) in the "Upcoming Events" portion of the forum in my last post there.  We're also going to have a couple of dozen of those fireproof flight suits for sale along with the cammy.
