Title: My Mistake,....
Post by: twyacht on August 15, 2009, 09:05:14 PM

My Mistake
This is difficult for me to admit but, admit it I have to: my liberal friends were right.

They told me if I voted for McCain, the nation's Hope would deteriorate, and sure enough there has been a 20 point drop in the Consumer Confidence 20 Index since the election, reaching a lower point than any time during the Bush administration.

They told me if I voted for McCain, the US would become more deeply embroiled in the Middle East, and sure enough,20tens of thousands of additional troops are scheduled to be deployed into Afghanistan .

They told me if I voted for McCain, that the economy would get worse, and sure enough unemployment is approaching 10% and the new stimulus packages sent the stock market lower than at any time since 9-11.

They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more "crooks" in high ranking positions in Federal government and sure enough, several recent cabinet nominees and Senate appointments revealed resumes of scandal, bribery and tax fraud.

They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more "Pork at the trough" in Federal government and sure enough, 17,500 "Pork Bills" showed up in Congress in just three weeks.

They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more deficit spending in D.C. and sure enough, Obama spent more in just 30 days than all other Presidents together in the history of the good 'ole USA. A 3.8 trillion dollar budget, with a 900 million dollar per day interest on this current debt.

Well I ignored my Democrat friends in November and voted for McCain.

… And they were right. All of their predictions have come true.

There is a few FQ jokes in there somewhere, but I'll let this one slide. ;)

A really interesting lesson, considering, all of the above came true under the other candidate, not Mc Cain. I voted for, but did not get warm fuzzies over my choice.

I voted McCain and I wish with all of my heart that he was my President right now.

The same people who control the dems control the repubs, two parties, one purpose.
In other words we could have had a different name in the White House, we would have had the same crap.

Beautiful.  Did you do that?

My Father sent it to me, it did not have a cite or a source, hell he might have wrote it. I talk to him on Sundays, and I'll ask him.

When politics come up in conversation, the first thing I ask is if that person voted. Usually they answer "no" and I then tell them to shut up. If you didn't care about your opinion enough to vote, I don't want to hear it.

I care enough about my opinion to NOT vote.

That's just a cheap BS cop out to try to excuse not performing your Constitutional duty.
Slackers like you are just as much to blame for BO as ACORN.
I have more respect for FQ, he may have got it wrong, but HE had spine enough to take a position.
Talk is cheap when you are not going to have to take responsibility for the result.

I have taken a position, you just can't stand my position, and you did not answer my question.

Tom, how do you know?

Because you continuously beat your gum's on here about  how everything is wrong but your only action is to with draw and hide your kids at home.
You always have a complaint, but you never have a suggestion for IMPROVEMENT other than "Run away, run away, ".
You claim to be such a Patriot, but you won't even vote ? You're just a poser.

You didn't answer my question, you did instead engage in an ad hominem attack, a common tactic of those who can't answer a question , but won't admit it.

Tom run away from what?
Tom,  draw and hide my kids at home. How do you know.
No solutions? how about not sending ones children to the communist public school? I am a single parent, and I voted with my pocket book, I have been paying for private Christian education since kindergarten, and I am not prosperous.

Not a patriot, is it wrong to point out the communist support by good old conservative republicans?

I still don't get the not voting thing. Were there no candidates you liked at all?

If so, you could always write somebody in, but just vote.

Blah blah blah.
Just as I said, I accept your tacit admission that your rant has no probity.
