Title: Irlene Mandrell
Post by: alfsauve on August 18, 2009, 06:52:32 PM
Okay, maybe it was the wrong topic (lock and load), but I'm surprised there weren't more comments about Irlene and her web site.

For those too young to remember the Mandrel sisters were a very popular singing group back when.   Irlene, the youngest, played drums and was a "Cover Girl" at one time.  STRIKE THAT.  She was THE poster girl for Cover Girl.  Anyway, even my wife sat up and took notice at Irlene's segment on shotguns.  She's sponsored by S&W right now.

Check out Irlene's home page and biography.

I checked her out on Wikipedia and I find this interesting tidbit:

"Mandrell married Rob Pincus in 1994, with whom she has one child."

Hmmmm..... Rob, is that you?

Ellen Irlene Mandrell (born January 29, 1956) is an American musician, actress and model. She is the younger sister of country singers Barbara Mandrell and Louise Mandrell.

Mandrell was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. She first rose to prominence as a model for Cover Girl, and later appeared on the top-rated yet short-lived Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters. After that left the air, she appeared on Hee Haw for a number of years. She has also appeared on two episodes of The Love Boat, and worked as a commercial spokesperson for a wide range of products. She has also competed in auto racing.

Since the late 1990s, Mandrell has hosted the annual Irlene Mandrell Celebrity Shoot to raise money for Wish Upon a Star, Inc. and the Boy Scouts of America. The event, previously held in Branson, Missouri, was held in Jennings, Louisiana in 2008.

Mandrell married Rob Pincus in 1994, with whom she has one child. They were divorced in 2004. She was previously married to Ric Boyer, whom she divorced in 1992. She and Boyer have two children.

I'm sorry gals!  I tried to stay mature in my earlier post, and I think I did a damn fine job.  However, Irlene as a whole, her poster, and right there in the middle of her list of companies that she promotes is Wild Ride Beef Jerky  :o

Next guy at the store pick up a case of that, and put it on the alter right under her poster!  Sorry Jesse, the competition is up and running ... What you got to offer

I MARRIED mine!!  26+ years and counting now.  Although she's only 8 years older.

As for Miss Mandrell, I'd be willing to play that old carnival game with her.

On Irlene's home page one of her 2 (cute) daughters is holding a pistol and looks like she knows what she is doing (finger OFF the trigger, muzzle in a safe direction etc. )
So be polite, she may be one of those "Low aimers" like M'ette   ;D

Well that kind of rules out our Pincus!  Cause I don't think even Irlenes' looks could make up enough ground. ;)

She was on last night on that other show with her daughters shooting clay targets.

Both girls came across as pretty, well spoken young ladies.
