Title: 7 Reasons we need Government health care
Post by: rojawe on August 19, 2009, 03:29:09 PM
The government now and has run:

1. Fannie Mae-- it's broke
2. Freddie Mac-- it's broke
3. Post Office-- it's broke
4. AmTrak-- it's broke
5. Medicaid-- it's going broke
6. Medicare-- it's going broke
7. Social Security-- it's going broke

The government is the majority share holder in both General Motors and Chrysler and both of them are broke.

Why would anyone be concerned about the government running this nation's health care?

they have Gov health care in the UK. the waiting list for simple operations is  around 2 years, the hygiene is horrible with many people every year getting infected with the poor conditions they are staying in.

i agree that if they do it rite then it will be great for a lot of people but it can go wrong really easily.

I'll add to the list before someone else does - Mustang Ranch - operated and then sold at a loss.

Also, $2 trillion bailout - no accounting for the money

My BIL is British, he maintains that their NHS is FAR superior to our system.
I suggested he look at Medicare/Medicaid, The VA, and the Indian Health service, I also asked him how many medical break throughs had com out of ENGLAND in the last 50 years. No MRI, No Lasik, ( I worked on the pre production prototypes) No Artificial hearts, no Viagra, No advanced vein harvesters, (something else I worked on for another company )and the US is the worlds leading producer of medical devices because our quality is the best bar NONE, (that also comes from having worked in that industry. )

Do you REALLY want to trust your healthcare to a group of people who can't make money selling booze and renting women?!?
