Guns and Hummers: Ain’t That American
ShareThis
CHESTERFIELD, Mo., Aug. 24, 2009 — Lynch Hummer (http://www.LynchHummer.com), 7 times the world’s #1 volume Hummer dealer, has announced the opening of the world’s first combined Hummer and firearms dealership. Jim Lynch has turned his $7.5 million Hummer facility in this upscale St. Louis suburb into every shooting enthusiast’s must-visit attraction.
“It is a natural fit,” says Jim. “Our customers enjoy outdoor sports and the firearms have been a big hit with our Hummer owners.”
With the automobile industry suffering sharp sales declines, Jim Lynch found himself with a beautiful facility that was vastly underutilized. “We have been very fortunate with our newest venture. Firearm manufacturers have embraced our vision and have provided us with a huge inventory of items that are in demand and hard to find elsewhere.”
Firearms from top-tier manufacturers Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Kimber, Colt, Benelli, Beretta, Browning, FNH, H&K, Springfield Armory, Glock, Ruger, Walther, Stoeger, Franchi, Uberti, CMMG, DPMS, Bushmaster and Barrett, among others, crowd the large showroom once filled with Hummers. Apparently ammunition suppliers have also taken note of Mr. Lynch’s venture, as ammunition scarce elsewhere fills the shelves.
Lynch Hummer has always offered something different for its customers. Their facility boasts a rugged 60-acre off-road course along the Missouri River that has often been featured in print and television, including a starring role in a Travel Channel special.
Along with earning the title of the world’s #1 volume Hummer dealer, Lynch Hummer has also earned awards for having the highest customer satisfaction in the nation. “We take our mission of providing a pleasant shopping environment for our customers very seriously,” says Jim. Not only do they offer a pleasant shopping experience in the dealership but also online. “We sold our first Hummer online in 1995 and have been a leader in online sales of off-road parts and accessories through our Adventure Accessories web site (http://www.AdventureAccessories.com) for many years. We plan to do the same with firearms and accessories on our website http://www.GunsAndHummers.com.”

Entrepreneurship at its best. If the service business goes down he can open a range in part of the garage.

Probably only a matter of time before Gummint Motors shuts him down...........nah, probably easier to just sell to the Chinese. >:(

There for a minute I thought....
Never mind.

This might very well be a way for him to transition to the gun business all together. With the way Obama is playing politics with the auto industry, Hummer dealerships are an endangered species.
What this guy is doing, consciously our not, is setting himself up for when his car business goes belly up. Instead of having to start over from scratch he will simply be able to change the sign out front and PRESTO he will be the biggest gun shop in town. He wont have to miss a beat.... there will be no need to restaff, he will never have to close down shop to change things over, and he will already have a customer base for the new business. It looks to me like the guy is going into survival mode, and I hope it works out for him.

Saw this on CNN yesterday. He also has a 60 acre lot to test drive the Hummer. That is really cool.
Now as for guns and hummers? Makes me think of downtown Indianapolis. ;D

The lasts part of your post is coming true - Check out the news: "Today Bloomberg reported that GM may sign a deal this week to sell its Hummer sport-utility vehicle business to Chinese machinery maker, Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Co. citing people familiar with the negotiations. The companies had signed a memorandum of understanding for the sale of Hummer in June."
