Title: Help finding out the name of the new light showcased on the show?
Post by: GlockMeister on November 03, 2007, 12:46:12 AM
Hey all, I've looked the Shooting Gallery site over left to right and top to bottom. What I'm looking for is probably staring me right in the face and I'm oblivious to it. Anyhow, In watching the Shooting Gallery show this past Wednesday, Mr. Bane, showcased this new flashlight the mounted to the hand, leaving it free to reload if necessary. But, for the life of me, I can't remember the name of it or the manufacturer or website. Can I get a little help from my friends.
Thanks much in advance... G-Meister

That's because it was on Tom Gresham's show! In any case, we did a bunch of stuff on the First Light USA handheld light a year or so ago on the blog (hmmmmmm, wonder how that works?). Prez and primary trainer Clyde Caceras is an old friend. You can check it out here:

Mike, I apologize. I could of sworn it was on your show I saw it. I have to DVR all the shooting shows, then when I get to watch them, usually 10 shows in a row, and it's always 2 shooting gallery, 2 american rifleman, 2 shooting usa, 2 guns and ammo and lastly 2 personal defense t.v., by the time I'm done, I forget what I saw on which show. And to make time to record more shows, I had already deleted it thinking I'd remember what it was. An age thing I guess, I prefer to call 'em brain farts. lol

With that said, you are correct in the brand, I thank you. As for the price, about $225 w/batteries, I'm not surprised. But as it was mentioned on, again, not sure which show, they usually eventually say the same things sooner or later, but what was said was this" How much is your or a family members life worth"? We spend 100s to $1000s on the firearms, may as well see and make sure what we're or who we're aiming it at.

Thank you both for the replying. Again, Mike, my bad on the wrong show. I again apologize. I honestly watch them all, and as I said, usually 10 shows at a time, 2 weeks worth.

Sorry GlockMeister, I wasn't putting down the cost of the new light or the value of the light compared to the family.  I was trying to inform the forum of the price.  It might discourage some and inform others.

Ellis, I apologize. I didn't mean to come off in my reply as if you were putting down the cost. I only commented on your reply to let you know I'd read it, and that I also knew it probably wasn't cheap and that in watching the great gun/shooting shows I'd related to something I'd heard on one of them.

I Thank You for pointing out the cost. In fact, after following the link Mike so kindly put in his reply, I saw the cost is $219. OUCH! I'll be holding off for the time being, I have plenty of lights, in fact, just purchased a Streamlight Stinger XT. But, I like the hands free feature the First Light offers.
