Anyone else watching this on the Military Channel?
This is the first show since HBO's Rome that I make a point of clearing the decks and watching, and then getting my own adrenaline going.
Basically, the premise of the show is that one SpecOps guy, Wil Willis, a former Ranger and then USAF PJ (para rescue jumper) and trainer, goes up against 4 OpFor people in various situations - hostage taking on a large cargo ship, rescuing a downed flyer, etc. The OpFor have no idea when or how many will be coming in. There are camera crews everywhere, and they use simunitions and their expertise in real combat situations.
The OpFor are taken from various backgrounds, mostly military and then as private contractors. Last Thursday's episode featured one OpFor who was full-blooded Jicarilla Apache. I have started betting to see which of the OpFor will be the first to get whacked. The Apache surprised me at how easily he got hit.

I'm watching. The last show is recorded...I hadn't had time to watch yet.

The guy is also a former USAF Pararescue operator. The show is absolutely incredible. Would love to get on that show to play an OPFOR. They have some guys and gals with very well trained backgrounds. Anywhere from SEALS to MP's. Great show and extremely entertaining.
I was surprised to see the Apache get taken out in the last episode. If he would have continued tracking and was not called back by the leader it may have been a different ending.

i already did this thread.
the thing you need to know about the apache is he was a vet cop, not military like the rest of the OF. he said describing the semi auto feature of his AR; "you know, you can get a lot of shots off, or you can like... snipe people." this is what my son would call a "noob"
