2 - I hope I didn't disqualify myself. I didn't get an email the first time I filled it out so I filled out the entry form again.
2 Things -
1 - April 14 is my birthday. Seems like I should win automatically.

been out of touch for a little while.who won the gun giveaway?is it on it's way to my house?yeah, thats the ticket.must be on it's way ;D ::)
That guy Worsham and his designer beer....... on Pabst Blue Ribbon ::)
I think as the official first entrant I should automatically win something................. ;DHow about my admiration?
MB said in his weekly audio cast that Jim from Baton Rouge won it.
8,000 contestants!!!!! There's only 581 members here. What happened to this being a contest for DRTV members? Seems like this was opened up to the world at the NRA meeting and became a Sigarms promotional event and not a DRTV one. Sigarms now has 8,000 people to target for their marketing literature. That's pretty disappointing as we were led to believe that this was for the DRTV community. I wonder if the winner was even a DRTV member prior to the contest drawing?
I went back and watched the video. It says nothing about this being for DRTV members. However, due to the misunderstanding, I bet you could get your entry fee back, if you asked nicely.
Wrong...I would watch the video again if I were you. There is no doubt that this was a DRTV contest. The opening slide says "A DRTV Giveaway" and Michael even says at the end of the video that in order to be eligible go to the Down Range Television site and sign up. Seems like everyone on this site should have enjoyed odds closer to 1 : 500.......not 1 : 8,000. The contest was clearly never meant to have such a limited scope as Sigarms wanted a large target marketing list for future mailings. They were able to gather the big contestant numbers at the NRA meeting. Again, it's not important, I just don't like the way it was portrayed....it's only ever about the sales.
Just because DRTV gave the gun gun away doesn't mean only DRTV members could win. I first heard about the giveaway on sigforum from Michael (sorry about the anti-beavaeartale crap Michael).
And I would wager that you were invited from the sigforum to come over to DRTV and enroll for the contest as a DRTV member.
No I was not. I first heard of the giveaway from MB's blog . I first heard of DRTV from a post of Michaels on sigforum. So i did a search for Downrange tv and found this site : when the contaest opened I entered . But I was not invited.
The contest was here and nowhere else, which has been my only argument all along.
No it wasn't MB posted this giveaway on several boards and got kicked off of a couple of them IIRC for it .
So the queston is how were you instructed to join the contest, via DRTV or another site or method?
Actually, I won! TWICE!
Marshal wouldn't let me take the gun...
yea but you wouldn't let him either so isn't that fair.
How was i instructed on how to join the contest Threw DRTV of course . I just found the site from other sources but i followed DRTV's rules, if that is too much for you maybe you should stay away from the computer for awhile
Tell you what...Marshal and I will figure out a gun giveaway for this list only — excludingof course Tim Burke, who already has too many guns — how will that work for you all?

And yes ponyexpress, it DOES take a lot of time and hard work to do something like this.. and not just for one day either.
There is lots of work and follow up work the whole time a giveaway goes on... so thank you very much for acknowledging that .. :-*

So what would the Tim Burke Special look like?I tend to favor larger 1911s, although I do have one Officers sized gun, coincidentally from Novak's shop, built by the late Joe Bonar.
