I was taken out to lunch today by a friend who insisted on going to Chils'. Fair enough, but why? Turns out that today Monday the 28th they give 100% of their proceeds to St. Judes Children's Hospital which provides free care for kids of low means that have cancer. A worthy cause, a decent meal. Adjust your dinner plans accordingly. I reccomend the chicken fried steak and their regular (just a goddamn Margarita, rocks, no frou frou stuff), two for one, who knew?

I know that it is past now, but this hold true of purchase type "donations:"
Write a check to St. Judes and send it to them. I don't purchase magazines, frozen food, candy bars, etc. and call it a donation. Call purchases what they are and donations what they are.
If Chilis actuall did 100% of sales to St. Judes, that is great on their part. However, I see too many that draw you in on the 100% of net or profit then only give pennies to a charity while offsetting their monthly overhead in one day.
