CBS) Al Qaeda has developed a new tactic that allows suicide bombers to breach even the tightest security, as CBS News correspondent Sheila MacVicar reports.
Inside a Saudi palace, the scene was the bloody aftermath of an al Qaeda attack in August aimed at killing Prince Mohammed Bin Nayef, head of Saudi Arabia's counter terrorism operations.
To get his bomb into this room, Abdullah Asieri, one of Saudi Arabia's most wanted men, avoided detection by two sets of airport security including metal detectors and palace security. He spent 30 hours in the close company of the prince's own secret service agents - all without anyone suspecting a thing.
How did he do it?
Taking a trick from the narcotics trade - which has long smuggled drugs in body cavities - Asieri had a pound of high explosives, plus a detonator inserted in his rectum.
Homeland security has no defense for this. Unless some Total Recall screening method or BCS method is utilized...
This is just no good and not right...But it is what we are up against...

This is not good news. If someone wants you dead bad enough to stick a pound of c-4 up his ass and detonate it, odds are good you're not going to die of old age.

He didn't kill the intended victim, but it must have been a messy crime scene.

last year( or was it two years ago) the bombers were women hiding the bombs between thier breasts.
If some one is willing to kill themselfs to kill others, its very hard to stop them.

I still say having everyone on a plane eat a piece of bacon is a solution. There's a purification process after eating pork that if not accomplished will dissuade suicide.
There's probably enough pig guts, pig skins, narley pig hair, snouts, nails and tails around Haz's house to hold of a hoarde of Husseins for a whole lifetime. ;D

I thought of hat and added in that it wold have to be washed down with a shot of bourban. Problem is, it would piss off the Jews, the Buhhdidists, the Baptists the Mormonans, vegetarians and recvoring addicts. Upside, more leg room for me. ;D The solution is simply to have each plane carry a piglet; cute, easily trained, cheap and tasty later. Same principle applies and no one will be offended except PETA when they find out about the retirement plan. ;D
